About this afternoon's MLB game.......

Guys, I don't have any hard facts, I'm sure Frank probably will somewhere, but here is what I've noticed about days like today.

When there is only 1 game in the afternoon, it seems like about 85% of the time it's the Cubs. Am I wrong here? The are almost ALWAYS a favorite, and the public HEAVILY leans on them all the time. They usually don't win. Not only does the "general public" LOVE to take Favorites and Overs anyway, but for some reason everyone takes the Cubbies when they are the lone afternoon game.

They burned me so many times last year, because you know we can't just all sit around and watch the game without having a little action on it.

So, if you MUST take some action on this game, I would recommend taking:

Pirates and the Under. I'll probably take the under small, but have a hard time taking my hometown Buccos.

RJ, I don't know about the winning % of the teams or totals, but it does seem that the Cubs or Braves play the early games.

I could not agree with you more RJ .. Cubs pitchers are so over-rated at home it makes it easy pickins for the dog player .. I have a local that always inflates the line when the home team is the favorite .. I beat him every week ... No kidding, he has the Cubs at -180 right now .. That is why I can not post the true lines I get cause you would not believe them ... I have 3 locals and the lines will vary up to .50 sometimes ... Love it!!!

But as far as today goes we not need to worry .. Great chance it will be rained out !!!

I may be wrong, actually I probably am, but aren't Cub home games traditionally day games because they were one, if not the last, ballparks to put up lighting? and that's why they play the most day games.

The reason for the day games is because of wrigleyville complaining about parking and traffic at night ... they have fought night games there for years .. i think we get something like 22 night games a year ...

With heavy traffic and traffic jams comes noise. Noise at night is not good for the area. An area loaded with a bunch of Methuselah's. For example, Spark!!
