    Wayne,
I have to tell you, I do not like the Red Sox but I really like the way Manny plays. You never hear anything negative from him either.
I think he is good for the game.
    Remember the three R's:
Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

To bad Francona has to lift him late in games because Manny trying to catch a popfly is a circus act...

Manny was NEVER brought to Boston for his glove. Yes, he is not a good outfielder but the few real bad plays he has made was on sportscenter. He has made some great catches too and i've seen them watching their games day in and day out but it never gets noticed. David Ortiz is worse with the glove. That's why Manny never gets to DH because Ortiz is worse. The Sox were questioning what to do during the world series because they were afraid of having him at 1st. It worked out well.

All the talk about Manny's glove is ridiculous. The guy never makes headlines with his mouth and he's one of manyin this league without a great glove. He will give you 35-45 Hr's every year and 120 RBI'S and as a Boston fan he's refreshing to watch. He enjoys playing and his team loves him. Not everybody can be perfect at what they do but he's a damn good player.

Ted Williams was not a great outfielder either by most standards because he was slow and didn't get to some balls that others would;yet he had a surprisingly high fielding percentage, and his hitting, well you be the judge.
I agree with Wayne;I watch just about every Sox game, and all things considered and over the season Manny is at least adequate, and he does make some very good plays also and some good throws;and, well his hitting "slightly" makes up for his infrequent bad days in the field.
