I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but can someone show me where the article is that someone linked about the difference between a professional and a novice. It talked about how professionals understand that there will be good days and bad days, and normally don't even watch the games. i've looked all over, and I can't find it. Thanks.

Frank, that's not it, but I'm glad you posted taht as well because I wanted to save that. Anyway, I can't remember what thread it was, but someone posted an excerpt of an article about how the "pros" do it, and then they provided a link to the entire article. It talked about how they look at it as a business, and not as gambling. I didn't read the entire article (was sort of busy at the time), and was just interested in finding it so I could read it.
BTW, thanks for the quick replies fellas.

John, it wasn't that link either. This is driving me crazy. I should have read it that day. I think the person thatposted the link was actually doing so in someone else's thread, instead of starting a thread of their own. That's why I acn't find it. I'm going to have to go searching through every damn thread! lol

Its all about money management. The amount of $$$ you wager on a particular game is really irrelavant when you consider yourself a pro. Its all how you use the $$$ that you have. Seriously weather your a $10 a game player or a $10,000 a game player that makes ZERO difference IMO. You have to be consistant and in a sane state of mind in order to wager, taking the ups with the downs never pressing when ahead or behind. Each bettor here on this board is slightly different we all have our own unique styles. I for one like to play few games a day. Never more than 5 or 6 max. Others like to play 20 games. Thats just not my style. I also never vary my amounts played either unless I see a Frankb 5***** or one of my own plays that qualifies as such. The most important thing IMO is self control of your bankroll. If you can master this you can most likely be sucessful in gambling the problem is 99.9% of us cant. Myself included from time to time.2013 NCAA POD Record
