I averaged 17 yds a carry playing football my freshman year of high school. In 2 differnet games I had 3 runs of over 70 yds. Then the following year my brilliant coach moved me to fullback and I never carried the ball again.

When I was 58 years ols a friend of mine entered me in a State Long Ball Golf Driving Contest...(55 and older)...there were over 60 contestants...we had 10 tries each--had to stay in a certain area...Had the top 3 hits---360 yds--354 ys---348 yds...

They only counted the top one--was a winner, the second place fellow hit one 333 yards...

54" Driver---Condor Golf Ball---good conditions--was grooved that day...I'm 62 now, still consistently hit 300 yd drives when playing with my sons...and yes fellows, the rest of my game SUCKS.....

Handy to have in a 4 man BestBall contest...but don't count on me for any help in between...

Can't do much of any sports any more, but thanks for the opportunity to remember...
