On behalf of Kmann, Frankie B, and Myself, Welcome everyone to the 2005 version of 3 Wise Men Baseball. I can not tell you why I’ve been away the last month but I can say that I’ve missed you just awful. Thank you so much for all your concern and well wishes.
First off please click on the link and familiarize yourselves with the Abbott and Costello classic routine , “Who’s On First ? “ . Many of you are too young ( I’m so envious ) to have seen them do it but it still remains one of my all time favorite comedy bits. I hope you enjoy. No better way to kick off the season than with a good laugh. Let’s all hope and pray that we end up laughing in October.

We’re tooling up for our opening selections which will appear on Friday. If we keep the same format as last season the games will be rated by Stars ; 1, 1 ½, 2 , 2 ½, 3, 3 ½, and 4 being the highest. Our bread and butter lies in the 1, 1 ½, 2, and 2 ½ star games which make up 90 % of all our total plays. We will play on the Money Line ( ML ) and with the Run Line ( RL)
Philosophy:
ALL PITCHERS MUST BE SPECIFIED
High Line games: We do not play games over –150 and later on we may lower it to –140 but let’s be somewhat flexible to start. Most of our play is with smaller faves and dogs.
Run Line Games: We NEVER lay 1 ½ runs with a home favorite. NO EXCEPTIONS. However we will at times lay 1 ½ with a road favorite.
There will be many plays this season so please pace yourselves. Last year we had 1 slump and it lasted for 2 ½ weeks just before the All – Star Game. Fortunately I saw it coming and advised ( begged ) you all to cut back. After the All Star Game we proceded to hit 13 in a row cruised to the playoffs. The playoffs were disappointing and we will have to decide whether or not to include them in our agenda this season.
So expect ups and downs but please remember ... no one is rooting harder for you to do well more than The 3 Wise Men.
I did the work for today’s games and came up with the following sides. Keep an eye out for:
2* LA Dodgers -130
2* Arizona at Even
1½* Baltimore –140
1* Minnesota +110
1* Cleveland at Even
Best Regards,
Coverboy
