  • CHAMPS Plays of the Day

Well I’ve read all the cappers picks for a while now and have posted two winners in college basketball. Going to try now and handicap the baseball games. I’ve had a lot of 2 out of 3 wins in 3 team parlays this year. So been picking winners just not playing the combinations correctly. For here I’ll just pick them straight and try to provide some reason. Also I’m sure I won’t post everyday, as time just doesn’t permit. So let see how I do.

Will start with 2 plays on 2 early games both starting at 1:05 EDT

Mil/Pit u 9 –115 – Expect another good outing by Fogg and believe Chris Capuano will do okay also
Home plate umpire expected to be Mark Carlson who last year was 13-22(o/u) with and average game of 8.8 runs.

Florida – 1 ½ +145/Philadelphia – Expect another strong outing from Dontrelle Willis who last outing pitched a 9 inning 9-0 shutout over Washington. 97 pitches with 66 strikes. 18 ground balls to 6 Fly balls and 3K’s. Lidle pitched 5.1 innings with 95 pitches with 61 strikes. 9 ground balls to 6 Fly balls and 1K. Lets get to the Philly bullpen and let the Marlins bats continue to score runs

I do like the under also.
Carlson was a former catcher so I believe he gives the corners graciously. Also the % of games that have gone over while behind the plate for him has DECREASED every year since he started except for 2003.

Thanks for taking the time for the write-ups and most of all
          Good Luck

I love when everything comes out as planned. Hope you all were on them both. I see Florida was POD so I know a lot were on that one.
