  • In Case No One Has Noticed...

....Golden St. has officially become a rec league team. Richardson, Dunleavy and the boys say they are having fun and have won something like 11 of 12. This has come at the price of playing anything that resembles defense. 68 second half points to the depleted Spurs squad and the ticker is still going.

oh I've noticed all right. Had San Antonio -2 last night and of course they win by 1 now tonight I take Golden State since Ginobili is out and they torch me for 130, so I am on the ass end of back to back games where the Spurs score 250+ points and I have zero wins to show for it. Fun

Today I took Golden State, Charlotte and New Orleans in the NBA, Minnesota, Houston and Phillies Under in MLB. Not the worst of days but I would have probably been better taking the day off as planned lol. bol to you this week pal

I didn't play the Spurs game, but by my way of thinking GS NEVER under any conditions deserves to be a 9 point favorite over the Spurs.
Just think-a couple of days ago Phoenix was a 5 1/2 point favorite at Golden State and now a 14 1/2 point swing in the line;that makes no sense to me no matter how tired you think SA is.
What would line have been if San Antonio was at Phoenix tonight under same conditions and using the same logic, Phoenix 23 1/2? (the 14 1/2 point differential between Phoenix favored by 5 1/2 at GS and the Spurs a 9 point dog). Actually under the logic and if you allow Phoenix say a minimum 4 point home court average, maybe the line would be Phoenix -27 1/2 over San Antonio.
Yeah I know I am stretching it a little, but just remember there is no one who knows how tired a team is after playing the night before.
By my way of thinking if Phoenix is favored by 5 1/2 at GS, then Spurs GS at most shoudl be a 3 point favorite if that.

Last line should read then if Spurs are at GS, GS should be at most a 3 point favorite and probably closer to a pick.
As many of us know, injuries, lack of sleep, etc. are vastly overrated as far as trying to pick winners, and when line is adjusted bigtime to compensate for this, more times than not logic won't prevail.
