ImpulseDisorder-that was certainly a very interesting and I'll use the word "shocking" post.
My initial reaction to your story is "Doesn't the FBI have anything more worth while to do?"
With billion dollar drug rings, money laundering, murders, extortion, terrorist acts, etc. occurring on a daily basis, is this not where its priorities should lie?
I suppose in many states police could bring into apartments where folks who are not married but are living together and arrest them for cohabitation;that would equate with your situation.
To use another example your experience kind of reminds me of a situation which has occurred to a lot of us of "speeding."
I am using the term here to apply to a situation when you are driving on a desolate road at 2:00 AM with noe cars in sight.
The speed limit is 50 and you are going say a little over 60.
Well, after a while you realize you are not the only person on the road, and all of a sudden you see the familiar blinking light in the background;you are about to be stopped for speeding.
The cop doesn't care that you are not hurting anyone as there are no cars within sight;he is going to cite you and you will probably get a $100 fine and a "nice" increase in your insurance premium.
Yeah-he has a right to stop you but come on and give you a ticket, but sometimes a little common sense has to prevail.
To wind this up, as it is 2:30AM in the morning, maybe I should take a little tip to the nearest Western Union to send funds to my Offshore and "gamble" that perhaps in this instance the FBI won't be waiting to nab me for this "heinous" crime.
