    Hot pitchers
    -- Carpenter was 5-1, 3.11 his last ten regular season starts. Cardinals were 10-5 in his road outings......Roy Oswalt was 3-0, 2.45 his last three home starts. Astros are 12-2 in his last fourteen regular season starts.
    -- Cubs scored 40 runs in last six Maddux starts (5-1, 4.62).
    -- Chacin was 1-0, 6.17 in two '04 starts, but he won at Bronx, 6-3, on September 20.
    -- Colon was 5-0, 2.65 vs Texas last year; Angels won three of his last four home starts, scored 41 runs in his last five starts overall.
    -- Santana was 13-0, 1.29 in his last 15 regular season starts, and 2-0, 0.71 vs Seattle last year. Twins won his last nine road starts........Meche was 4-0, 3.38 his last four starts. Seattle won four of his last five home starts


    Cold pitchers
    -- Lowe was 0-1, 11.48 his last four egular seaon starts but was tough in playoffs for Boston; Sox were 4-9 in his last 13 regular season road starts, and 5-11 if they gave him less than seven runs.........Schmidt was 0-2, 5.39 in his last three PacBell starts last season.
    -- Ortiz is 1-3, 7.72 his last five regular season starts, but was on winning side in six of last eight home starts, albeit playing with much better team than Arizona.
    -- Kazmir was 0-2, 8.74 his last three '04 starts; rumor has Tampa interested in trading him, too.
    -- Drese was 1-2, 12.00 his last three '04 starts, but he was 2-0, 1.98 vs Angels last season.
    -- Clement was 0-2, 7.63 his last four '04 starts; Cubs lost seven of his last ten road starts.......Pavano is 0-3, 4.58 his last four starts; he once was traded from Red Sox to Montreal, for Pedro Martinez.

    Totals
    -- 12 of last 17 Schmidt starts went over total.
    -- Under was 16-2 in Carpenter's last 18 regular season starts.
    -- Over is 7-4-1 last dozen Maddux starts.
    -- Under is 3-1-1 in last five Kazmir starts.
    -- Over is 7-1 last eight Drese starts, 4-1 in last five Colon outings.
    -- Over was 6-2 in last eight Clement starts.

    Game of the Day
    Nuggets @ Grizzlies-- Denver won 17 of last 19, on three game win streak (by 11,18,6 points); they won both games vs Memphis this year, 92-82 and 97-94. Griz allowed 82 ppg in winning both April games. Over is 8-2 in last ten Nugget games.


    Elsewhere, Celtics lost five of last six games, Wiz is 4-1 in their last five. Home side won all three series meetings this year, with C's losing 110-105 in OT in first visit this season to DC. Five of last seven Wiz games went under.

    Clippers lost five of last six games, Bobcats lost four in a row, with six of their last eight, and three in row, over the total. Clips needed double OT to beat Charlotte in first meeting, 99-93 Dec. 6. LA ended long road loss streak with win at woeful Atlanta Sunday.

    Home side won all three Net-Cavalier games this season with Nets losing 103-97 in first visit to Gund; Jersey won eight of last 11 games overall- under is 3-1 in their last 4 games, 7-2 in last nine Cav home games. Cleveland split eight games since they changed coaches.

    Pacers won five of last six games, covered nine of its last 13 with seven of last ten going over; home side won both of their games vs Knicks, with Pacers losing 90-79 in the first visit to MSG. Knicks lost six games in row, five by eight or less points, last two by total of six points.

    Pathethic Hawks lost 12 games in row (3-7 vs spread in last ten); they won 96-95 at New Orleans in first meeting Hornets lost ten of last 14 games, with three of last four going over. Neither side here is worthy of your support.

    Streaking Bulls lost Deng (wrist) for year, but won nine in a row (7-2 vs spread), with last three going over total. Heat split last six games; they're 2-1 vs Bulls, winning the first meeting here, 108-97. Despite splitting last six, Heat is 13-4 vs spread in their last seventeen games.

    Dallas won ten of last thirteen games, is 6-2 with Avery as head coach; they lost 94-84 at Orlando very early in November, but now there are doubts Magic can even be viable franchise in Orlando. Magic won three of last four games, with six of last seven going over the total.

    Portland lost 17 of last 19 games, Utah lost 14 of last 16 Blazers are 5-5 vs spread in last ten games, Utah 3-7. Home side won both previous series meetings, with Utah winning here, 92-87 in OT. Under is 11-3 last 14 Blazer games, 11-6 in last seventeen Jazz concerts.

    Lakers quit, mailed it in, lost 11 of last 13 games, and its "GM", Kobe, is now doubtful with shin injury. Phoenix is 7-2 in its last nine games, allowing just 80.3 ppg in last 3 games; they beat Lakers twice this year, by 3 and 5 pts. Six of last nine Laker games went over the total.

    Seattle is 3-0 vs Kings this year, winning by 8,30 points at Key, 106-101 at this site; Sonics lost three of last five games, are 2-9 vs spread in last 12. Kings split their last twelve games, with four of last five going over the total.

    Golden State might be hottest team in whole NBA, with eight wins in last nine games, including five in row; they're 7-1 vs spread in last eight. Rockets scored 75.5 ppg in losing last two games without Ming; they beat Warriors twice this year, by 17 and 3 pts. 11 of last 12 Houston games stayed under; Warriors went over five of last six
