I watched the game, and the refs sucked, but c'mon Augustine played like he didn't want to be there. He has 4 fouls and he's literally using his hands and PUSHING guys around?
Illinois did a great job of making this a game, I think the best team won the game.
I'm also angry, jealous, hurt, because roy left KU 2 years after he vowed he couldn't "do it to the kids" then hinrich and collison leave and he's on the next flight to carolina!!

Both teams got some calls,Illinois set illegal screens all night but am I the only one that thought Sean May duck his shoulder several times and ran over somebody under the basket. Oneal gets away with this in the pros but I dont see this not called that much in the college games.

Agreed, a ridiculous post! You got a team that can pound it inside in Carolina versus an outside shooting team in Illinois. When you work the ball inside, you draw fouls. By the way, Manuel and Felton had 4 fouls each. The total fouls were 18-13 - not that big a difference considering the styles of play. Carolina is a better team, plain and simple! They are also the Big 10 champs, beating Wis, Mich St., Ill.

The Illini chucked up 40 3's tonight. Everytime they made even the slightest move to the hoop, they pulled it back out beyond the arc. They played like a bunch of PUSSIES. No one attacked the basket which is why they shot so few free throws. They had plenty of open looks tonight but they just did not go down. I don't know if the best team won tonight, but the team with the most talent certainly did.

All that needs to be said about this issue is 40 3-point attemps by Illinois and only 16 by UNC. Based on those numbers you would assume a huge foul difference, but a difference of 5 is actually surprising.
