    Game 1 -210 (loss)
Game 2 -180 To get back your first bet $378, plus the new $180. You're risking $558. (loss)
Game 3 -200 You now must lay $1316 to win back the original two bets plus today's game. How many $100 bettors will do that?

The above scenario will happen any time the Yankees lose two in a row. They will be layingthese huge numbers all the time. Think they'll never lose two in a row? How about three? Four?

If you use a martingale approach with the Yankees, you will eventually be risking $3000 to win back the original $100. This is a great argument for not playing big favorites like the Yankees at all.

If you're adamant to go down this awful path, at least play the run line so you're laying -125 and not -300.
Now I know why your name is Bad Luck. SUICIDE!!! Blindly following huge favorites is suicide.

I agree with Griswold. I highly recomend ALL members to ignore this ignortant advice. Unless your bankroll has major $$$$ ignore this advice. What's this members name? BAD LUCK? Enough said. Baseball betting is a marathon not a spint. The example Gris gave. I'd rather take that same $3k and bet it wisely.

Don't listen to LOSER like Bad Luck. Read some of his old threads and you'll get my point.

Guys When Was The Last Time The Yanks Didn't Win A Bunch Of Games?? Exactly About 12-13 Years. Yiu Also Have To Remember They Are A Better Road Team Than A Home Team. With This Line Up And Rotation I Think They Will Win 110- To 115 Games This Year And Frank The Tank You Can Hold Me To It In October When You'll Say I'm A Baseball God!!

As I said there's way to bet baseball and there's way to pay using shylocks.

YOU CAN NOT WIN IN BASES playing -200+ favorites.

For those of you who don't know who shylocks are..........

first of all, i don't think frank will EVER say you're a "baseball god", and second of all, when was the last time a team came back and won the World Series the way Boston did last year?

HMMMM, think of that for a little. There's nothing that says the Yanks HAVE to win a certain amount of games.

keep us posted on how you're doing, it'll be interesting if the team implodes and goes on a seven game losing streak to see what you're laying to win what, it should make me laying 6 to 1 seem like child's play.

The term "shylock" originates from the Shakespeare play "Merchant of Venice". There's a character named Shylock who makes his living by loaning money at an outrageous interest.

I thought it originated in the movie Pope of Greenwich Village. LOL

                        I loved that movie.
