The Illinois Fighting Illini go for a NCAA Record 38th win
tonight in the Championship of the NCAA College Basketball
Season.

Save for a last second loss on the road at Michigan State,
Illinois would be a perfect 38-0. The Fighting Illini, who have
maintained
a strangle hold on the number one ranking for more than two months,
looked every bit the part as they dismantled Louisville in their Final
Four appearance Saturday.

Incredibly Illinois is an UNDERDOG to North Carolina!
The Tarheels, who almost all the "experts" agree, is the
REAL top team in the nation, come into this game ranked
number 2 but laying three points.

Roy Williams once again tries to win his, oh so elusive, first
championship,
basically with a team the fired Matt Doherty built(see Rashad McCants,
Sean May and Raymond Felton.

In the history of the NCAA Championship the number one and two ranked
teams have met seven times. The number two ranked team has won and
covered
five of those seven times but, and it is a BIG but, the only two times
the Number one team
covered was when they were underdogs, like tonight.
