Had a blast with my family--Everyone there said it was the toughest ticket in years--B/c of 4 great teams and 2 so close to STL.
EVERYONE looking for tickets--2 of us bought Sat. and Monday for $300 a piece--a great deal and the other 2 paid $400 a piece. Not bad considering Ebay I saw pairs for over $2000 and the Illini fan I sat next to in the upper level paid $720 a piece!!!
Games were decent, but it was worth the $$$--sold all 4 Monday games for $100 a piece since State lost and I have school on Tuesday.
Anyway---Cant see myself not playing Illini +2.5
It must be a trap b/c no shit there were 30,000 Illini fans out of 47K and on Monday with all the Louisville and MSU gone there will be close to 40K Illini. No shit it was like a homegame for them. They had the most fans, then UL--then MSU and NC about equal, but all the Illini fans were rooting for MSU and their band even played the MSU fight song during the end of the Illini game at a timeout.
NC is a great team with talent--but as you saw in the first half they will turn it over, fire up bad shots and give up tons of O boards if you pressure them. If they gave to May AT ALL in the first half theyre up 15 at half. State shot awful and still almost hung.
I think Illini has the guards to contain Felton and he is what makes them go.
Illini +2.5 as a home dog in the title game.
