  • Going for an encore on World Series winner

One year ago I posted the Red Sox at +600 as my pick to win the World Series, bucking a century of history. This year's pick is not only my top choice but a great value. (Line is current at Royal Sports). I also offer my best future plays rated 1-4 units.

4* Minnesota Twins to win World Series +1800
Great organization, best starting pitcher in the game, balanced attack, huge home field advantage in the toilet they play in and a team whose youngsters have grown up to be veterans.
    Also:
4* Twins to win AL Pennant +1000

4* Twins OVER 90 1/2 wins +135 (odds at Olympic Sports)

    4* Angels OVER 91 1/2 wins +130

    2* Devil Rays OVER 71 wins +120

    1* A's UNDER 80 1/2 wins +128

    1* Brewers OVER 69 1/2 wins -120

I just plugged some money down on the Twins myself,25-1 to win WS at wwts-can't resist that.
I like your Marlins pick also and will plunk some money down on them also.
I think there is much better value with Twins the Marlins and some other teams than with Yankees;I just have this feeling that something once again is going to happen to them-Randy Johnson gets injured and/or his age catches up to him for example, that Arod will prove again he just isn't a winner or that chemistry simply won't be there to win it all.

ps Naturally though I will be cheering for my Sox.
The odds on Yankees remain at wwts a totally absurd 2-1;who the f-ck are they to be 2-1? Much better teams on paper in the poast than this year's Yankees have failed to win a WS.championships, and I don't think this year will be any different;Steinbrenner's best days and teams are behind him.

I am curious-does anyone know of a sportsbook which has a futures bet AGAINST the Yankees winning the WS(taking the field against them) and if so, what the odds are?
