i grew up in nyc and the bar we hung out at in the 60s always had a death toll pool on the holidays back then the newspapers would have the results on how many people died over the weekend in automobile accidents, we all learned our lesson when 2 of our friends were killed on labor day weekend 1967 or 68. life is short and we should never take it lightly, morn the passing of someone and be thankful it's not you.
