Accessing Sportsbook From Work Dilemma

As I am getting ready for BB Season and the handfull of day and early games that come up, I need some ideas on what you guys do that have day jobs with company's that restrict access to sportsbooks.

I can get to this site no problem, but I can't get to Pinnacle or Bdog,,,,I get the Red Hand of Death...for those of you who know what that is.

I guess the question is there a sportsbook that is set up in it's Meta Tag description or HTML code and URL where it passes through most corp networks?

It's not worth losing my job over to sit there and try several different sportsbook websites......

A Local is not an option and most books charge more if you call in your play..

Any ideas from you Brainiacs??

I usually get the red flag when i try to view some no-no pics at work.

I would check around with some other off shore accounts because I didn't think most charged for placing the bets over the phone.

GL - I know it suxs when you are at work and can't get to a site you want to.

There's a library a few blocks from where I work. They have 10 free to public terminals. I'll usually go there as needed for a half hour or so to take care of business. If all else fails, all books take wagers over the phone.

Do you have an ethernet. My sister plugs her labtop in her ethernet and plugs into an electrical plug at work and picks up the internet that way. It's kind of stealing, but that's how she gets over. She was over my house one day and plugged into my wall plug and picked up someone elses connection, and was into their computer, but all she wanted to do was check her emails. That's why she turned me onto Spybot Search, to keep predators out of my computer. Someone that knows more about this might be able to help more.

I think you can go on a proxy www.proxy.com and type the website in in the upper right corner and no history comes up...I think not positive though

You can also use a site called megaproxy . com

This is a proxy server that you have to pay $9.95 for a 90 day subscription. Try it out - it is what I use and I have no problems whatsoever.

I have the same problem here at my office... red x's instead of pictures, the big "ACCESS DENIED.... you are in violation of the company's bullshit internet policy"... yet I catch our IT guy looking at porn... his excuse was "I have to uhhhhhhhhhhh check the contents of these sites" yeah, right.

I can play the ponies though, using my 4NJBETS account.

At home are you running XP PRO? If so, connect to your home computer from your work computer using Remote Desktop. When you remote contorl your home computer from work you can then access any website.

Other options are programs such as PCAnywhere

You can install VNC on your home computer and your work computer. (avaliable for free at the AT&T website) . Than you can remote connect from your work computer to your home computer and access the betting sites from there.
