Tuesday's College Hoops Plays....

Went 1-1 last night, losing with Southern Illinois and winning with San Diego. These are my plays for Tuesday....


3 STAR: WISCONSIN-MILWAUKEE (-2) OVER Butler
Wisconsin-Milwaukee is 22-8 against the spread as a home favorite since 1997.

3 STAR: UTEP (+3) OVER San Jose State
UTEP is 9-2 against the spread when revenging a close loss of 3 points or less against an opponent over the last 3 seasons.

3 STAR: PRINCETON (+2.5) OVER Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania is 1-5 against the spread after a win by 10 points or more over a conference rival this season.

3 STAR: IDAHO STATE (+6) OVER Eastern Washington
Eastern Washington is 1-5 against the spread in all tournament games over the last 3 seasons.

3 STAR: SACRAMENTO ST (+18) OVER Weber St
Sacramento State is 6-0 against the spread after an upset win as an underdog this season.

My opinion on the Princeton v. Penn game:

Penn leads the series 112-95
Lst game on Feb. 11, 2003
Penn 65--Princeton 55 --Not much to say here just that the game was at Penn.

- Princeton is just 1-7 ATS at home.
- Princeton is just 3-7 ATS when playing against a team with a winning record.
- Princeton is just 0-3 ATS when revenging a raod loss.
- Princeton is just 1-3 ATS versus good defensive teams allowing <=64 points/game.

I hope this is a game that you just did not pick and did your homework on cause princeton has nothin to play for here besides there confidence. Penn is shooting for another undefeated conference record and already have won the conference and have a berth in the NCAA tourny.

I personally don't like the 3.5, which is what my book has, and will not play this game unless it goes back down to 3 or lower. But IMO I see a DD win for Penn.

Please critique my opinion. It may help me choose a side.

All the stats do lead to a Penn win by double digits, but I am not buying it. I think Princeton shows some heart tonight and covers this spread. Penn already has a birth in the big dance and already beat this team so they might not put forth the same effort as they usually would. This game just looks too easy, thats why I have to go with Princeton.

I agree with your thoughts. Just came across those numbers and thought it might be worth the discussion. I will most likely stay away fromt his game but it seems to be a popular one out there right now.
