High-scoring guard Holmes out for Fullerton St, which is making rare ESPN appearance; they haven't been on since they used to challenge Tark's UNLV teams over 15 years ago. Anyway, third straight road game for Cal State Fullerton, but they're 15-3 last 18 games. Hoyas meanwhile, have only drilled Boston U, 64-34 in NIT, as Garden people would love to get them to Big Apple Georgetown struggled with Big West's Long Beach St, 57-51, in December.

Rebels came to South Carolina and covered NIT game couple years ago, when Spoonhour was coach; Vegas shot 58.6% from floor in Arizona State game, while the Gamecocks held Miami to 37.7% from floor in 69-67 home win, surviving 13-27 3-point shooting by Canes. UNLV won eight of its last ten games. USC was 3-4 as an SEC home favorite this season.

    Game of the Day
Heat @ Rockets-- Miami won last 12 games (10-1 vs spread last 11), with four of last five staying under total. Only three of their last 12 wins were on road, but 12 in row is still excellent. Heat beat Houston 104-95 Jan 30, in first meeting. Rockets lost last two games, after six-game win streak. This is, of course, meeting of the coaching Van Gundy brothers, as well.

Elsewhere, Cavaliers lost three in row and nine of last 12 so cause of all these problems (not!!) Silas, is gone; they split pair of home court wins vs Pistons before Christmas Detroit won five in row, covered last three games, with last four going over total. Lebron scored 56 in last game, was 3-20 in game before that one.

Pacers just lost at home to Nets Sunday, 94-85; they're 4-6 last ten road games- their last three overall all went over. Nets won, covered their last four games; they lost 96-83 in Pacers' previous visit to Swamp on Dec 30th.

Do the Hawks even have fans, and if so, why? They lost last five games and 18 of last 19- Suns beat them by 30 Opening Night in desert. Last four Atlanta games went over total. Phoenix is 10-1 last 11 road games (6-2-1 in last nine on foreign soil).

Nuggets won three in row and 11 of last 12 games, with last three games over total; they won first meeting vs Wiz in DC, 111-105, way back on Dec 8. Wizards won 3 of last four games, but last two were vs Jazz, Hawks, pair of terrible teams.

Jazz lost nine games in row (2-5 vs spread in last seven); eight of their last 11 games stayed under total, but they're 2-1 vs Lakers this year, losing last meeting 102-95 Feb 15 in Staples. Sliding Lakers lost last five games (1-4 vs spread); they're 8-12 vs spread in last 20 road games.

Portland lost 96-89 at Staples last night, their fifth loss in row, 11th in last 12 games, but they did cover, third in last 16 games. Blazers split first two games this season vs Kings (2-0 vs spread), with average total of 221, but Sacramento different team now, staying under in six of 9; they're 7-7 since they unloaded Webber to Philly.

Sonics won four of last five games, but Allen tweaked an ankle, just as his former club comes to town. Bucks are 4-7 in last 11 games, with last four staying under total. In first meeting this year, Milwaukee crushed Sonics, 99-73 at Kohl Center February 27.
