  • Changes in College Hoops

This years tournament, so far, confirms for me that it's harder to handicap games than it was say 10 years ago. I used to be a really good college handicapper. For a 6 year run in the early 90's, I was about 56-57%, which is pretty profitable over a period that long.

This year I stopped playing my own games because I was so bad. It's been getting progressively worse every year. I just think there is more parity and these mid-majors and sub-majors aren't all that far below the power schools anymore.

It used to be that 10 years ago, you could take a 3, 4 or 5 seed laying low double digits in the first round and they would blow the doors off of their opponent.

I agree Rented Mule. I am drained from trying to cap these games. I am so happy to go with a money management system of a quarter to a third each night or I would be in the toilet. I have started on the half-times and retrieved some back but this is not going to be easy. I don't even want to go into baseball right now. Drained- watching with 2 seconds left and N. Iowa scoring just took it out of me. +Good Luck my friend

I think it has a lot to do with all the kids leaving school early or not going to college at all. You certainly didn't have that at this rate 10 years ago. Most of the guys leaving early are from elite schools and the guys skipping school would have gone to elite schools 10 years ago.

I think it's either that or the mascots.
