i will post my remaining games wednesday but i have to get this one out there now
Best bet of the first round =
10* Mississippi State (-2) vs Stanford------>all season long, miss. state has had one injury or another to almost every player in their starting lineup.......to say they have not been impressive is an understatement as they have looked bad almost every time we have seen them.......however, now their stars are healthy and i have to assume this season long disinterest on their part is more a function of last years disappointing early exit in the toruney.......people forget that going into last years tourney, many people thought this team (basically the same team as last year) was a top 5 team before losing to butler..........stanford on the other hand has overachieved in a major way but is only a game over .500 without its star grunfeld.......yeah, they beat washington and arizona at home but did not match up well against the better defensive teams like washington state and like mississippi state......as bad as miss. state played, they were at one time 14-2 with losses to only arizona and syracuse, and they played a lot of games this year with no heart, losing once to alabama by 50 and then losing to kentucky in a game where they were up at half and then quit in the 2nd half to lose by 20.........they will be interested here; stansbury is a good coach out to show he has not lost control of this bunch.......they got frazier back late in the year and he has not really played at 100%, readying himself for the big dance.......they are the much better team here and i also like the 9 being favored over the 8......
also looking strongly at boston college and pacific (dont laugh, everyone keeps talking about pittsburgh vs. washington), pacific did not try at all in their conference tourney, giving up in the 2nd half against utah state but will beat pitt before washington takes them out, write-up later

p.s. i am hoping miss. state's stay in the tourney lasts longer than my stay in the 'top capper of the year poll ' just kidding
