I know thats the big upset matchup, but thats a big upset you've selected. I really disagree with the selection committee, they are a bunch of idiots IMO.
How did UNC get past Illinois?
How did Washington get a #1 seed?
Saw some idiot talking on CBS that said KU is a #3 seed because of the injury to Langford? what a moron.
I agree KU was overrated all year, but wtf is the criteria for the selection committee?

There is no criteria. We could get the BChat crew together and do as good a job if not better!

Old Dom could cause Mich St some problems because Mich St has been flat their last few games. Indiana beat them, Iowa beat them just to name a couple. However, the intangable here I think is Tom Izzo. He will have his team ready to be focused on this game. Which brings me to ask the question...will the 5 seeds sweep the 12 seeds this year? We all know about the history 5/12 seeds have with each other. Personally, I just don't see any of these 5 seeds losing first game out of the box. Now, ATS may be a different story. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

I'm an ACC fan , but I agree with Cokes, GW over Ga Tech & N. Mexico over Villanova.
I know I'll get crucified for this, but I'm not in love with this Villanova team like alot of the public seems to be! I have Alabama in the Sweet 16, so I hope they're not the #5 that goes in the 1st round. GL to all, LET THE MADNESS BEGIN!!!

i agree with the pac 10 and big 10 assesment.... how in the hell does stanford(18-12) and iowa get in over teams like depaul and notre dame???? what a joke!!! iowa had a losing record(7-9 before their conf. tourney) in that pathetic big 10!!! while notre dame went 9-7 in the much better big east... while depaul who lost a lot of close games and still finished up 19-9 in the underrated conf. usa is out...look for some good value with the conf. usa teams they're alot better than people think.. (love unc char, cincy and uab over the totlal in 1st round)... don't even get me started with nothern iowa.....i know teams get left out every year that feel they belong , but for someone who follows the college game as much as i do i have a hard time with some of these obvious mistakes...

Its funny that some of you still dont know how the committee selects teams even after betting games everyday and watching games. Kansas was dropped to a 3 because the committee does not only look to the past, but also to how the team will be with the injury it has, and the fact they lost without thier guard was why they dropped, because they are not the same team they were before. Depaul never had a chance, look at how they ended their season and their horrendous non-conference schedule. The only team I have a hard time with was Iowa, because they lost their star and have not really been that good. But dont criticize the committee if you dont understand the criteria.

Buckeyeben, whats the criteria that allowed Washington a #1 seed? What about Iowa losing Pierce, shouldn't that have influenced them getting in?
To me it looks like this year is gonna have some good teams playing early and I can't wait to see the upsets start.

what is the criteria??? i thought it was getting the best possible teams in the tourney??? you can talk to you are blue in the face, but you will never convice me that stanford , iowa and northern iowa are better than notre dame or depaul..you mentioned kansas that was the right call 5-5 last 10 , but how about fla. there hot as hell just destroyed kentucky in the sec final and they're a 4???(in the toughest region by far unc, uconn, kan and nova) i know it's not and exact science and some good teams are always left out but some of these look a little off to me....also question nevada getting a bid over buffalo..... nevada played toledo from the mac early in the year and lost....toledo got hammered last out by buffalo...

Wonder if we're thinking the same history on this 12/5 seed thing. The moneylines are'nt that great this year on the 12 seeds anyways, but I figuire playing the same amount with the points on each 12 seed is worth a shot.
I agree with you that it dose'nt look like any 5 seed will lose the opening round, but is'nt this the reason they call it march maddness?
Goodluck in the first round buddy!!
