Atlantic 12 tournament
Rhode Island split its last four games, its first four, but was 0-8 in between, losing 65-55 at Richmond, as dog of 10 pts on Jan 15. Spiders won two of last three, but lost four in row before that- they won game in five of last seven post-season tourneys. Rams won first game in their last two A-12 tournaments.
UMass won 69-66 at LaSalle in OT Feb 19, one of its five OT wins (out of nine A-12 wins); they're 3-6 as A-12 favorite, 3-8 vs spread in last 11 games, but 9-7 SU. Explorers lost three of last four games, but all of the losses were by six or less pts. Coach Lappas can pack his bags if UMass loses this game.
Fordham had won four of last five games before Dukes went to Rose Hill and beat Rams on Senior Night, 61-57, as 9.5-pt dog week ago. These two teams own a combined 1-16 record in this event last eight years. Duquesne is 5-3 as road dog. Fordham scored 55 ppg in losing their last two games.

Marquette lacking star G Diener; they lost by point at TCU, 63-62, losing five of last seven on road. Frogs covered five of last six games that followed a loss and are 5-3 in last eight games SU. Eagles finished a game behind TCU at 7-9 in C-USA; they were oused in the first round of last two C-USA tourneys, losing to TCU by a hoop in last year's event.
DePaul lost four of last six games after being 8-2 in its league; they won 81-63 at Tulane this year. Demons are 5-4 as C-USA favorite; four of their ten league Ws are by 14+ points. Tulane is 4-4 as road dog, but their last seven losses are all by 14 or more points; they lost seven of last nine games overall.
Saint Louis won at this site last week, 70-61, as 4-pt dog; they covered last four tries as road underdog and last eight games overall. Four of their last five losses are by 8 or less pts. Erratic Memphis lost its last four games, is 3-3 as home fave; they were 9-7 in C-USA, are at home. Billikens were 6-10 in league.
Improved Houston finished 9-7 in C-USA, and beat South Florida handily twice, 62-50 in Tampa, 68-50 at home, but Cougars lost last two games. Bulls pulled an upset on Senior Night, beating Charlotte; they covered six of last eight games, and split last four SU, but their last seven losses were all by seven or more points.

Providence won three of last four games after starting 1-11 in league; they lost twice to West Virginia, 82-78 at home Jan 29, then 67-65 in Morgantown 11 days later. Mountaineers need win here to keep their bubble hopes alive; they won six of last eight games, covered four of last five, but had bad loss at Seton Hall in their last game Saturday.

Notre Dame beat Rutgers 66-56 in South Bend last week, but irish are 0-4-1 vs spread in last five games, still need win to help NCAA chances. Rutgers lost 14 of 16 in Big East (5-8 as dog, 3-5 on road); they never recovered from 3-ball to beat Syracuse, that went half down and came out, costing them January 24 game.

Idaho lost its last seven games, four by 10+ pts; they lost twice vs Cal-Irvine, 71-70 at Irvine Jan 29, then in OT game at home Feb 24, 67-62. Anteaters won four of last five games, but covered just three of ten as Big West favorite. Vandals are 3-3 as a road underdog.
Long Beach State won seven of last eight games, with 58-57 home win over UCSB Saturday, in game they trailed 30-23 at half. Gauchos won first meeting 54-47 at home; they lost nine of last 12 games and are 1-8 on Big West road, though they are 4-3 as Big West fave.
Big Sky final
Weber State won last six games, Montana last five, as #'s 3 and 5 seeds make final in this weak league. Home side won both series meetings, with Weber winning by 76-62 in first meeting, Griz 80-72 in rematch. Weber dumped the #1 seed, Portland State last night on home court of the Vikings. Grizzlies are 11-5 in Big Sky, and Weber State 9-7.
