My g/f mentioned this tonite. We were looking back at service records and our notes we have made from years past regarding certain services we follow and noted that in the past 3 years 5 services all started tanking within a 2 week period right around this time of year for about a 5-6 week period. And so far this year its happening again, services that for the most part were doing very well now cant buy a WIN. Anyone else noticed this?

Who thinks some of these services are on the take?

Here's my theory.
If you look at how these "services" have changed recently, you will see many now work as teams. For example, all the Fiest group, Hurley, Sturgeon & Vacarro, The Wayne Allen Root crew etc.
With that much of a combined interest brings some strength, and they now have enough ability to manipulate line moves with a "strong" release. They then play the opposite of their release and now make more money with the bet. And if they spread the bet out to different wagering sites and locations, and if done correctly is Tax Free.
I think Rip's record can be used to strengthen my theory.Remember the three R's:
Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

BEFORE INTERNET GAMBLING U COULD SEE WHERE A LINE WOULD CHANGE 2-4 POINTS AND THEN IF YOU CALLED YOUR BOOKIE AT GAME TIME OR 5 MINUTES AFTER THE GAME and u coudl see where the line or very late money came in on alot of the games where the line moved all those points where money came in late on the other team than they were giving out when most of the big services were on one team or another and yes of course since internet books have become alot of books give the referrel person a percentage of their custoimers that they refer to an offshore book a percentage of the losses wekly or so often to the person that they reffered to that sportsbook look on any site that you go to on the internet that advertises a sportsbook and then go to that book and see if they have an affliate program for people that advertises their book on the internet.
of cours if they(service) refers poeple of course they get kick backs if anyone does not believe that they are just plain ignorent just like any web site that advertises sportsbooks more than likely also gets somekind of something back for referring cutomers to that books so there is always a conflict of interst also. and the more the person wages the more the percentage and i know this because i have looked into this.....and sportsbooks is advertised on every gambling site that i have ever been to...THICK 1

If you actually believe the guy who is 1-13 is deliberately losing his picks, then he is one great handicapper. Do you honestly think the guy went 13-1??? Services are in this to win but many are incompetent and many others are scammers. Many have deals with books to get kickbacks on customer losses but that doesn't mean they lose on purpose. It just means they lose. A service with a monster track record is able to make tons of money selling picks. Very few cappers have monster records and that's why these other deals are set up.
The only exception to this are the frauds like Feiner, Jack Price, etc., who in the old days would sell both sides of a game so half their customers would win. The internet has made it harder for them to get away with this. My bottom line: most handciappers try to win but most are just lousy so they are forced to engage in devious practices to make the money that their picking skills deny them.

Even supposedly honorable Northcoast has resorted to aligning themselves with a sportsbook.
As far as I am concerned, any services which goes out of their way to promote a sportsbook lose a lot of credibility right off the bat, as clearly their motives are brought into question.
I was shocked that even OC Dooley sent me a full paid actual ad in the regular mail extolling and promoting a certain sportsbook;that is really appalling.

There's no doubt in my mind that many of the services are in collusion with each other. They all release the same game. Drive up the line then bet the other side.
Big Al's baseball GOY on Arizona is a perfect example. Who in their right mind would make a GOY on the worst team in baseball and a team in the middle of a horrible slump? Big Al wanted to drive down the line. Then make a play on the Dodgers.

good point that is what i mean when i said the line will move then at last moment u see alot of money come in on the othr team vs the way the line has been moving. its seems that when this happens more times than not the late money always wins and then the followers of the services gets duked.
there are just different scenerios where if u have a paid line service u can bet according to the line and the services and just bet that way and win a good percentage but you have to be patient and may not bet everyday and that is where alot of people get hurt cause somedays there may not be a high percentage play.
good luck to allTHICK 1

Either way HE loses in my book-if he really believed it warranted GOY status, he is an idiot and should be called Big Al McMoron OR if he did it as you say to drive the line the other way so that he and his buddies could get a better line on LA, then he is a deceiver and the name Big Al McScammer is more appropriate.
