To answer your question, theoretically, when most of the money is on one side, and the line moves the opposite way, this is done by the oddsmakers to make the popular side more enticing and hoping to get more bets on it. Or it could mean the SMART money is on the non-popular side. WHat I take from that is the oddsmakers know more than I do and if they drop a line with most bets on it, they are doing it for a reason. Know what I'm sayin? It's a logical way to cap, especially at this time of year.
Anyone else can add or disagree with what I'm saying.
