      Charlotte, Louisville are both 12-2 in C-USA; Cards faileds to cover their last four tries as a home favorite and six of last seven overall. 49ers won their last seven games, are 3-1 as conference dog. Cardinals' Dean is playing with mono and not practicing much.

      Miami is 5-2 as road dog in ACC; they covered seven of last 10 games- at 7-8 in ACC, they might need win here to get NCAA bid. Duke has Carolina on deck on Sunday; they covered last three tries as home favorite and covered eight of their last 11 overall.

      Rice beat Louisiana Tecn 78-57 on New Year's Day at home; they won last three games by 8,6,19 points and are 10-6 in WAC, 3-2 as road dog. La Tech won last five home games, is 2-3 as home fave, 8-8 SU in league. Owls are 3-4 SU on WAC road.

      SMU won four of last five games and is 4-2 as WAC home favorite; they covered eight of last 11 games, and won 95-83 in OT at Tulsa, in first meeting. Hurricane is 3-3 as road dog, 0-7 SU on road, with only three of the seven losses by more than seven points.

      Florida State lost its last seven games but is 5-2 as dog on ACC road; they lost 81-60 at home to Carolina the first time teams met this year. Tar Heels are 4-2 as fave at home in ACC, with no wins by less than 20 points; they have rematch with Duke on tap Sunday.

      Cal lost last five games, four by 16+ points; they lost at Seattle, 81-67 on New Year's Eve as 17-pt underdog. Washington won seven of last eight games, is 3-2-1 as road fave, winning by 25,9,7,13 pts; only one of their last four wins is by more than 11 points.

      Washington State is 5-2 as Pac-10 road dog, with only one loss by more than seven points; they beat Stanford 60-51 in first meeting, as 1-pt dog on New Year's Eve Cardinal won four of last five games; they're 4-2 as a home favorite, winning by 11,4,19,15,13,9 points.

      Cal-Santa Barbara, Irvine are both 2-7 vs spread in its last nine league games; Gauchos won first meeting by 17, 62-45, as 2-pt favorite. Anteaters are 0-5 as home favorite, going 3-4 SU at home, winning by 20,1,3 pts. UCSB is 1-4 as a Big West road underdog.

      Oregon lost nine of last 11 games, USC lost seven of last nine; Ducks won first meeting 90-83 in Eugene on New Year's Eve, but Oregon is 1-6 as Pac-10 road dog, losing by 21,3,19,4,25,10 pts. Trojans are 1-3 as Pac-10 home fave, 4-12 SU in league, with wins by 4,17,11 and 19 points.

      Oregon State is 8-1 at home in Pac-10, 0-7 on road, losing by 9,18,40,2,25,2,21 pts; they won first meeting vs UCLA 85-80 in Corvallis, as 4-pt favorite. Bruins won last three games by 15,21,10 pts; they covered 7 of last nine games, but are 2-3 as home favorite.

      Nevada won, covered their last eight games; they beat Hawaii 58-55 in first meeting, as 6.5-pt favorite. Wolf Pack is 7-0 vs spread on WAC road, 14-2 SU in the league. Hawaii lost six of last seven games, but 5-2 at home, losing by 2,5 pts. Nevada star Fazekas will play with a broken nose.

      Southern Conference tournament
      Elon is 6-3 in last nine games after 0-8 start in league; nine of their 11 losses were by 11+ points; they lost by 11 in only game vs Davidson, 68-57. Elon is 8-6 as a Southern Conference dog. Pressure on Davidson after 16-0 regular season; they're 8-3-1 vs spread in their last dozen games.

      Georgia Southern won ten of last 14 games, covering seven of last eight; Eagles are 5-4 in last nine games after a 6-2 start- they allowed 81+ pts four of last six games. NC-Greensboro won last three games, but lost 85-79 at home to Georgia Southern on Feb 8th.

      East Tennessee is 3-2 in last five games after losing its previous seven; they're 7-2 as road dog, with only one of seven road losses by more than 8 pts. Chattanooga is at home, where they were 4-4 as fave, winning six of eight by 9-20-34-8-23-14 pts.

      Appalachian State covered 11 of last 14, and is 10-7 in league games; they beat Charleston 76-68 at home on Feb 22. Cougars scored 79.7 ppg in winning last three games; both sides here won seven of their last 9 games. ASU is 5-1 as a conference underdog.

        Pistons @ Suns-- Detroit won eight games in row, 13 of last 14 (11-3 vs spread); they beat Suns 94-80 on Jan 17, when Nash was out hurt. Nash also missed his last game; Phoenix is just 4-3 in last seven games; they are 1-8 vs spread in their last nine home games.

        Elsewhere, Miami won 12 of last 15 games, with 11 of last 16 going over total; they drilled Nets 100-77 back on Opening Night. Heat is 6-7 in its last 13 road games. Nets won three in row, with seven of their last 8 games staying under the total.
