About services.........new bettors should read!

I rarely call attnetion to myself or anything i say but when someone i know gets burned by a service, my angry side comes out. I will not go into detail about what happened to my friend tonight, but i want to make something clear to the people who follow services::

It used to be where there were a handful of services, and while they were predominently scams, it is A LOT worse now. Probably 80% or more of the services putting out plays have some sort of deal with an internet sportsbook or something related. If you ever hear a service, advertise for a sportsbook, you can't count on that service being someone that only intends to steal your money. Think about it; it is common sense. Why would they advertise for a sportsbook if the sportsbook thought the service was going to win?? huh??

Those that are not connected to these sportsbooks are just people putting out picks with nothing behind it at all. Do you guys notice that when a service puts out a play , there is never any reasoning behind it?? Look, i am not saying there needs to be, most of the top cappers here dont either, but the reason ez, wayne, sparkie, tony v, ripple, knock, and so many others i always forget, do not give reasoning is because it takes too much time....if you are paying for some idiots pick, you have the right to know why.

BC, i am sorry to bash the services as i know a lot of people come here to get their free picks, but as much as a site for posting winners, we are also supposed to educate the gambling public as well. BE CAREFUL, more and more services are nothing but advertisers trying desperately to get your money by hooking up with a sportsbook. Finally, nowadays i see these ridiculous gambling magazines where they tell you the 'top 10 sportsbooks in the world'. These magazines too are paid by the 'top 10 ' sportsbooks so please do not believe anything in them.

Shorty-everything you said is so very much true.
Even services like Northcoast hooked up with Royal Sports at the beginning of football season, and I received all kinds of offers for free service from Northcoast if I sent money to them (Royal);obviously this was endorsed by Phil Steel, owner of Northcoast.
An even bigger insult was receiving a full page ad in the mail from OC Dooley, a capper who I usually respect, extolling the vitrues of a certain sportsbook and beseeching me to sign up there;I wonder why. Yeah right! The answer is obvious.
Not to repeat, but as I said once, these kinds of suspicious ads make me feel as I would if I received a ad from Walmart in the mail telling me to shop at Target.
Services are supposed to be trying to beat the books for themselves and customers, not joining them.
Above is one reason why in general I have no respect for any of the other cappers at Godspicks;they seem intent as getting you to send money to a certain sportsbook as trying to sell you their picks;just check out their ads at godspicks.

shorty, you must not be looking in the Service thread nightly ... We have been trying our hardest to educate everyone how to use these services ... I love the services .. I have made a GREAT deal of money using them ... BUT you need to know how to use them ...All they are is a tool ... If you do not know how to use a tool you are going to get hurt ... I have said this over and over again ... If you follow services you will get buried .. If you follow the BIG hyped up games you will get buried ... I can care less about the write-ups .. Just give me the game they are on ... Simply look in Ripples threads the last two days ... I am not saying every night will be like these last two but YOU will make money if you know what you are doing ... You give me anyone who follows services and I will show you someone who is paying the man ... Simple!!!

Who here has heard of Rich Green and GoldKeyGames.com

I bought a subscription to him for the basketball season a couple of months ago. I quit using his picks because they are real shaky. But I track his picks on a spreadsheet along with several other services.

As of last night, the Goldkey (this is a paid pick) Pick of the day has lost an astonishing 6 times in a row! I notice he heavily advertises Bodog Sportsbook on his site. This stuff about the serivces and the Books being in bed together really makes me wonder! Hmmmmmm......

Just go to godspicks.com and read the disgusting ad trying to entice you to sign up with a certain offshore.
I had little respect for them before based on their arrogance, hype and unsubtantiated bs such as being the best capper since 1983;now it is even less.
Those folks might do better if they acted a little more humble;very few people care for folks who think that they are better than anyone else,try to talk down to you, think their own shit doesn't stink and in general have a rotten attitude.

Just got a call from Jimmy Spats boys- wanting me only to pay 300 for the rest of the season. You get several good picks and then when you pay - well you can read the above and know the outcome. My bet comes from tooling through these pages. However, like tonite, the public is on Mich. St and the real play is on Northwestern. Stay away from these guys on the phone calling to give you plays. I can name 4-5. They have so many calls they have to make in one day. Again the first couple of plays reels you in. You maybe 2-0 or 2-1 and the loss was by a point. But so was two of the wins. Then your ratio worsens because they have your money and a guarantee that theer are no refunds. Thats why this site has a tremendous advantage over the pay sites. Sorry, that you big boys are constantly shot at by hackers on the site. It has destroyed confidence in other sites. Lets hope the family stays on course and depose those whose interests lie elsewhere.
