need some help with the site please

hey everyone
been having a lot of trouble with this site lately wondering if anyone else has most the time i cannot open any threads and once i come to this ssite i cannot go anywere else without shutting my server down and restarting it i been coming here for a long time i this just started the last couple days i cannot figure out what the problem is i have copuserve and i called them and they said it was some thing with the site??? i dono i can surf the the net fine but once i come to this site and even close the page down i cannot go anywere else without restating my coputer help anybody know anything i can do thank u errrrrrrrrrrrrr dam puter now it going to take a long time to try to open my own thread up i bet weird

I really think it is the ESPN ticker ... I have been having problems also ...I know I was on a site last year with the same ticker and it had to be moved to the main page where nobody posted ... then it was fine ...

i can move around but it takes a while to load at times just started with me too

Think it is the espn ticker also. Had same problem at another site, when they downloaded espn. Just downloaded mozilla firefox browser and am able to get in now. But totally locked up my computer everytime I went in under internet explorer.

i use mozilla and don't have any problems. plus it's better to use than internet explorer.

That is exact same thing I have Chuck .. I constantly get the ESPN ticker full page when i refresh ... navigating is a bitch due to the page scrolling all over ... Sometimes when i type nothing happens .. so I have to log out of the post and log back in ... weird

i have verizon dsl the only problems i do have and its minor and just started yesterday (mon),,when i scroll all the way up the page..it stops no matter what half way up the page and freezes for about 20 seconds than its okay to scroll ...it does it everywhere,,its okay when it stops at the nude pics but i get frustrated in the service area to make sure i dont make a double posts....and its only on bc ..thanks anyhow .....

That is exactly what i mean about having trouble scrolling .. It is like you have no control of it .. it locks and then takes off ...

Happens to me also. I'm also having the site freeze for about a minute and then continue. I usually have to threaten to shut down my computer or pop up another site for the screen to react to my command.
