    ny -300
    boston -110
how can you put the same on these two games?

    Thank's for any help

P.S. This site is great i have done better this year than any other !!!!

    Dave,

As I'm sure you know, baseball is unlike any other sport as far as betting on. There are no lines, unless you take the -1.5 run line..

    here's a couple keys.

    1. Try not to ever take anything over -160. Never take the -300's, it just isn't worth it.

    2. If you absoultely LOVE 2 games that are -220 for example, parlay them together, so you're not paying the -220 for each game.

    3. Don't just bet on pitchers........Rookies think this is how you do it. "I'll just take Clemens EVERY GAME, he wins 20 games a year." This is a horrible way to do it.

    4. Keep taking teams that are hot, and stay away from teams that are bad. In baseball, a team can easily lose 20 straight games.

    Hope this helps.

i usually go by how much i want to win , if fav. or lose if dog. e.g bet 150 to win 100 on fav, or bet 100 to win 150 on a dog. Try to get a book w/ as little leeway as possible betw a fav and a dog. e.g 150/160 is a lot better than 150/170. This really adds up over the year. I know this isn't very clear. if you have any ???, please ask & i'll try to clarify.

        advice

both of them gave you good advice....with all the different sites out there, try your best to find the 10 cent lines....20 cents (i.e. favorite is -130 and dog +110) makes it very hard to win over time

my specific rule is that i never bet a game over -180 straight up, but parlayins multiple games with high lines is ok......problem with taking a -300 if that you go 3-1 and that is your 1 loss, it ruins your day, whereas parlaying a -300 and -220 may pay a little less than even odds but a much better bet

like rj said, betting on pitchers is not good, and a lot of people follow 'the rule of 3' in baseball, meaning bet on a team after they have won 3 straight and keep betting them until they lose, and same with 3 game losing streaks

there are many many people on this site that know how do bet baseball.it is different though, much different

          both guys nailed it

10 cent line is huge in baseball-if your book is making you lay 20 cents on lines under 2.00 dollars find a new place to wager. pinnacle has pretty good juice on all sports think its one of the sites sponsered here but not sure but main thing always shop for best lines and have at least 3 shops-you never know when a local is going to be long on a game and move his line creating some nice middle opportunities!!

            thanks shorty.

baseball is VERY profitable especially the first half of the year. watch the board and a lot of great cappers in MLB like GoldVike and get ready to have fun!

                  frank,

you bet against a team on a 3 game losing streak until they win.......same with a team that has won 3 straight, keep taking them till they lose.

IMO Pinnacle is the best sportbook when it comes to lines. In other sports they offer -105 lines. They have very good lines. Many books inflate the fav by a 1/2 knowing most players like favorites. Betcom and Bodog are the worst. Unless you play dogs.

I thought so. Shorty's post was a bit misleading.

An ABSOLUTE must is the ML Parlay in Bases. I won't Lay over -150 and if i can't find anything to match it up with in a Parlay then play it by itself on the Run Line. I refuse to give up juice in bases and there are many ways of doing it without playing all dogs!
