This with be the 6th installment of 'we will win ____day".......there has not been a losing day in the first 5 times, i expect much of the same today:
they are also in order of how much i like them)
10* Pitt (-2) vs. uconn---->pitt is off 2 losses in a row but this pitt team, maybe more than any other in the country seems to suffer from "we dont care' lapses.......how else would you describe home losses to buckness, georgetown, west virginia, road losses to west virginia and st. johns, yet they are 5-0 vs syracuse, notre dame, uconn and talented memphis.........i am going to guess we will see pitt's best tonight...uconn has won 3 in a row but that is against lesser competition........doesnt it seem pitt is always beating uconn lately anyway?
10* Memphis (+3.5) vs. Louisville--->There doesnt seem to be as big of a talent gap between these 2 teams as you may expect...for that matter, the coaching gap is not that wide either.the thing i hate about this game is that memphis needs the win and louisville doesn't.......but it is too hard to overlook that louisville, who played horribly down the stretch last year is 0-6 in their last 6 ATS and seems due to get beat
10* Northwestern (-6) vs. Michigan--->admittedly, i thought we could pull one over on the linesmaker here and get an overreaction from michigan's last win vs. penn state....i thought we may be able to sneak in a line of 3.5 or something......not that case, oh well.northwestern has been a very competitive team in the big 10 while the quitters that are michigan dont even try.......what good reason would michigan have to try here when their next game is their home finale and then the conf tourney begins.....i expect nothing out of michigan today and even if they show up, northwestern beats them
10* Wisconsin-Milwaukee(-10) at Cleveland state--->man, i hate giving double digits to a team on senior day, but this cleve state team comes in, losers of 4 in a row against maybe the nations best mid major, who sports a series of impressive wins, not to mention they are 14-1 in their last 15......only way cle state keeps it under 10 is if panthers are disinterested but i do not see that happening here
10* Stanford (+2) at Oregon---->in pac 10 play, oregon has been terrible, getting wins only against the bad teams and only in good spots.........this much improved stanford team off a rough loss at oregon state the other night should bounce back and play...hard to overlook the fact that oregon is 2-8 in their last 10 while stanford is 9-3 and all 3 losses were to better teams
Almost 10*'s
Lsu (4.5) at auburn--->terrible spot for lsu but this team is improving and wins over florida and alabama should equal win at lowly auburn too
depaul (-11.5) vs st. louis---->solid depaul team playing at home vs. st. louis team of very close painful loss a few days ago
Nevada (-4) at fresno state--->might upgrade later.......good neveada team vs. injured freson state team coming off 2 losses abd has nothing to play for
also will play
Arizona/washington over
st. jospehs (-8) at URI
Houston (-1.5) at ECU
UNC wilmington (+7.5) at VCU
illinois st (+8.5) at SWMSU
good luck
and yes, i will talk about the 11:30 espn game in a separate thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
