Alot of you might remember this one from this year....................

BALT. -6 vs. Cleve (My GOY)

Cleveland is up 13-12 in the 4th then Baltimore scores AND gets the 2 pt. conversion to go up 7, 20-13.

Not over yet!!!................ Cleveland is 2nd & Goal on the Baltimore 5 yard line and down by 7 with :26 left. Garcia gets intercepted by Ed Reed and he runs it back a record 106 yards for the TD and a 27-13 win.

That play lifted more pressure off my shoulders than any other play i think i've ever posted here!

This one is Primo. I belong to a golf club in Long Island and we play gin rummy regularly. Been a member since 1980. One day about 9-10 years ago my friend " Joe Gags " calls me over to have a word with me. He took me aside to a private room and told me his sister was dating Sid Fernandez the then pitcher for the Mets. This was on a Friday. Joey is very close with his sister and only he knew that over dinner that very night his sister was going to break up with Sid ... out of the blue. He was scheduled to start the very next day at Shea Stadium against the lowly Astros and was an 8 1/2 -2 favorite. Only the 3 of us knew what was going to happen.
We spread around $15-20,000 on Houston ( Joey had more than I on the game ) taking +170.

As it turns out Sid was devastated over Joey's sister's bombshell and was up all night drinking .

Fernandez got torched by Houston and the Astros were ahead 10-0 in the 3rd inning the next day and we cruised to a fabulous pay day.

That's my very best and true gambling story.

Hey Tony - I agree . Rounders is such a great flick, I think Matt Damon was talking about Doyle Brunsen and what he said about most of us having a tough time remembering our greatest wins but with very little difficulty we can all recall our "toughest beats"

You're right - we need to see that film again real soon.

Haven't talked with you in a while and I hope all is well with you and yours.

I had Penn St - 2 1/2...winning by 8...Other team scores--(a few seconds left in game)--now winning by 2...no cover...Other team decides to go for 2, Penn St steals the ball from the QB (had him tied up in a scramble)--Penn St man rambles for about 90 yds for the points in Penn St favor.******..

Greatest Win I ever had was last year, I had a TON of money on the Boston Red Sox over 10.5 for the game. I don't even remember who they were playing. Anyway it was the bottom of the 9th and they were down 5-4 with 2 outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd. Well after an 0-2 count, the batter (don't remember who) swung on a low ball in the dirt for strike 3, GAME OVER! Not yet........passed ball, runner scores from 3rd to tie the game at 5-5 and go into extra innings. I had 3500 on the game, so maybe that's why it was so amazing.

Biggest win not really, but it was my most memorable hands down. DUKE v. UCONN in ncaa tourny 2 years ago. I had a dime on Duke +2. Uconn hits both Free throws with 2 seconds left to put them up by 4. Duke has no shot at winning, it was a saturday night as i remember i was working at the tavern, he made the 2nd ft and i walked out of the room into the bathroom dejected. Next thing i know my friends are screaming holy shit duhon made a 1/2 court shot. Duke lost by 1. They covered. Duhon had no reason to even take the shot. I couldnt believe i actually won that game. will never forget it.

Thats great, that game will never leave my mind as i had a good tourny was up just under 3k and bet 1000 on duke+2 why wager that much i have no idea, i think it was cause i was confident duke would win they always seem to in big games. When uconn got up by 4 with 2 seconds left and duke had to go the length of the court i thought for sure duke was just gonna inbound the ball and that would be it. I cant believe i lucked out.

PS Sorry tony v. you shouldnt ever bet on or against your team too much emotion involved.

I tell myself that all the time! It ruined a great night for me, I still had fun, but it would have been sweeter with my $200!

This isn't a normal win/loss sceanrio. Super Bowl 37....i'm in a box at $1000 per box. My numbers are Tampa 8 and Oakland 1. Through the third quarter, the scoring possibilities left me with almost zero chance of getting anything.

Late in the third quarter, Tampa is up 34-3 and Oakland runs off 3 straight TD's. They miss all three 2 point converstion. Tampa 34 Oak 21, at this point.

With a minute and a half left, I need two Tampa TD's and Oakland has the ball.

90 seconds left, Brooks returns an INT for a TD.

                                Tampa 41 Oak 21.

15 seconds left in the game, Smith picks off a pass and returns his second INT of the game for a TD.

7 minute delay to clear the fans off the field. Extra point good.

                                Tampa 48 Oak 21

At $1000 per box, you do the math on the payoff.

I can't imagine there are many people who have had that type of payoff under such as impossible scenario.
