Newpaper: Vikings trade Moss to Raiders
The Minneapolis Star Tribune, citing a source and saying his agent has confirmed, says Oakland will receive the wide receiver in exchange for the seventh pick in this year's draft, LB Napoleon Harris and a low-round draft pick.

The Vikings and Oakland Raiders have agreed to a trade that will send Vikings receiver Randy Moss to the Raiders in exchange for the seventh overall pick in this year's draft, linebacker Napoleon Harris and a low-round draft pick this year, a person with knowledge of the situation said Wednesday.

"It's sort of a bittersweet moment for Randy," said his agent, Dante DiTrapano. "He had seven years in Minnesota, and he loved being a Viking. But, at the same time, this gives him a better chance to win a Super Bowl. The Oakland Raiders have vowed to use Randy like he has been used the past seven years, and that's throw the ball deep."

NFL trades can't become official until March 2. Because of that, the Vikings aren't able to comment on Moss' status.

"We've had discussions with the Raiders, but we have nothing to say about it," said Rob Brzezinski, Vikings vice president of football operations. "That's all we can say."

Moss has been rumored to be on the trading block since the end of a injury-plagued and controversial-filled 2004 season. Brzezinski said the Vikings did not shop Moss, and that the Raiders contacted them recently to initiate trade talks.

Oh God! I've always been a Raiders fan and i'm not sure what to think. It's a perfect fit but they need alot more than Randy Moss, including the Draft picks their giving up. Is this Minnesota making up for the H. Walker trade?? :D

Ticket.....just a couple quick thoughts are look at last year when Moss HAD to sit out!

The offense turned around and involved an entire group of very good corps receivers and started moving the ball CONSISTENTLY for first downs and chewing clock. Weak link was......again the defense......getting a quality LB and with several draft picks available they can realistically address the defensive woes that have plagued them since the start of 2000.

MOSS IS THAT BIG of a cancer.....go no further than him walking off the field by himself.....IT IS ALL ABOUT HIM and WILL ALWAYS be all about HIM!

Tough break for the Raiders but I will take it!!
