Took the day off yesterday, but it time to jump back into the fire today. These are my plays for Tuesday....
NBA
3 STAR: Indiana (+2) OVER ORLANDO
The Magic have won the first two games of this series this season at Indiana by a combined four points. I like the Pacers to make a nice second half of the season run starting tonight in Orlando where they are 3-0 straight up and against the spread in their last three visits. Orlando has been on a horrible slide against the number in the month of February. In eight games played this month they are 4-4 straight up, but only 1-7 against the spread. In fact Orlando is only 3-13 against the spread in their last sixteen games. There seems to be some internal trouble with this team as well, and it is because of Steve Francis. Francis was upset when Mobley was traded and got even more upset about not making the All-Star team this season. Francis did not report back to the team on time for Monday's practice and will be fined. He will play in this game, but the guy is a head case. The Pacers had a strong finish to the first half of the season, winning 5 out of their last 7 games. I'll take the points here!
2 STAR: CHICAGO (+4) OVER Miami
I like the Bulls in this spot. Shaq might not be up to giving a 100% effort tonight, after all of the All-Star festivities and this is the first of a back to back for the Heat that play at Indiana tomorrow night. This will be another big statement game for the Baby Bulls as they look to take down one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference as they continue to show that they are a team to be reckoned with when the playoffs come around. The Bulls are 21-14 against the spread as home underdogs this season. Miami beat Chicago two weeks ago in Florida by eleven points, but the Bulls have been very good in revenge games, going 21-14 against the spread recently when playing with revenge. Miami is also only 2-4 against the spread this season as a road favorite. I like the youngsters to get it done here, take the points!

3 STAR: LSU (+1.5) OVER Alabama
This is a big game for both teams, but I give the edge to LSU in this one. Having already beaten the Tigers at home earlier in the season by 15 points, Bama could get caught looking ahead to their big match up with Kentucky at home this Saturday. LSU has been tough at home this season, where they are 10-2 against the spread and the Tigers have been very good in these type of games as well this season, as they are 3-0 against the spread as a home underdog of 3 points or less or a pick. The Tigers have also been playing well against good teams, as LSU is 6-0 against the spread against the last six teams with a winning record that they have played. The Tigers have won the last two meetings at home against Alabama, and I look for a big effort from LSU foward Brandon Bass, who did not play a very good game against the Tide on the road, as the Tigers get this national tv win!
