College Basketball:
3 Units on Northern Illinois +7½ -110
We have two exceptional shooting teams when Northern Illinois collides with Central Michigan tonight in the Chippewa’s final home game. Normally I would gravitate toward a home team on senior night, but I’m having a difficult time finding this kind of line disparity between these two MAC rivals. The Panthers of Northern Illinois have already won outright at Ohio U, Bowling Green, Kent, a! nd Eastern Michigan. They covered this type of number as a 7-point underdog at Miami of Ohio losing by three points 59-56. On the season, Northern Illinois is a perfect 8-0 ATS in conference road games (11-2 ATS all away contests). They are 7-0 ATS as a road pooch between 6 ½-12 points this season. While the Chippewas have been tough at home they can be defeated as was proven by an injury-riddled Akron team last Tuesday night 70-69 as a 10-point underdog. Northern Illinois has connected on 50% or more of their field goals in 6/9 games recently while holding opponents to 46.4% or less in 9/12 lately. Central shots the lights out at Northern on February 22nd hitting 57.8% from the floor in a 87-75 victory. That should certainly motivate the underdog tonight. Certainly respect is given to Central Michigan’s 17-6 pointspread log this season, but we are getting good value tonight with this puppy.

NCAA FREEBIE: MICHIGAN ST. Spartan senior starters Anagonye and Ballinger bid farewell to the Breslin Center floor tonight as Tom Izzo’s boys look to pick up their 9th Big-10 win of the year. They are 13-2 SU at home including a perfect 7-0 in the conference. The Spartans have won and covered 8 of 10 in the series including the last 4 at home and are 15-5 ATS as a home chalk of 6 ½-12. The Spartans have to keep in mind how the selection committee considers the way a team finishes as part of their criteria so a letdown would be detrimental to their “dance” hopes. The Hawkeyes are 6-22 ATS off a conference loss.

Seton Hall @ Pittsburgh
Pick: Seton Hall +13.5
Time: 7:00 PM EST
Today the National Sports Advisors look for Seton Hall to cover as +13.5 point underdogs, when they take on the Panthers in Pittsburgh tonight.
The surprising Seton Hall Pirates look to continue their surge thru the Big East conference and onto the NCAA Tournament tonight, when they travel to Pittsburgh to try and defeat the Panthers for the second time this season. The Pirates enter tonight's matchup with an overall record of 16-9, including 10-4 in Big East conference play. The Hall defeated Pittsburgh back on February 15th in the Meadowlands, when they won outright 73-61 as six point underdogs.
Pittsburgh will be looking for revenge against Seton Hall tonight, when they welcome the Pirates into their hostile den. The Panthers have been dominating teams all season long at home, as they are 15-0 at home. The Panthers are 21-4 overall on the season, including 11-3 in Big East play. If Pittsburgh is to get their revenge tonight, they must get focused after a highly emotional 71-67 win over Connecticut on sunday.
So why SETON HALL? Well, we know Pittsburgh will be hungry to win big tonight after losing to Seton Hall a few weeks ago, but we just do not see the Hall being blown out tonight. Seton Hall is playing excellent basketball, having won nine straight heading into tonight. Look for Pittsburgh to win by 8-10 points, but the Hall should get the cover.

MATCHUP: Denver (12-49) at Memphis (18-41)
WHEN/WHERE: Wednesday March 5th 7pm Eastern The Pyramid
THE LINE: Memphis is -8½ points and the total is 186 points
TRENDS/ANGLES: The Nuggets, who have lost 20 of 22 and 23 of 26, are
just 1-44 when allowing their opponent to score at
least 83 points. The home team has won the last five
games in the series. Denver has covered five of the
last six in this series. Memphis has covered their
last five home games. Denver has won two of the three
meetings between the teams -- both at home. The Nuggets
won three of the four meetings between the teams last
season. Denver has won 15 of the last 20 meetings
between the teams.
GAME SUMMARY: Denver has dropped 13 straight games...Seems as if
8½ points is good enough to make some monry though.
