If you're concerned that the Musketeers are going to be flat off
their loss to the Bearcats, forget about it. In their last five games
after running with Cincy, Xavier has won five straight by margins of
42, 16, 6, 10 and 22 points! In reality, this is a fantastic spot for
XU!
As you probably guessed, Xavier is the side that fits that incredible
100-41 ATS college system of mine. That's one reason why I like the
Musketeers. Here's the other: On the road coming off a SU loss and
matched up against an opponent that enters off back-to-back SU
losses, the Musketeers are a perfect 15-0 SU (13-0 ATS) and have won
by an average of 13.1 points per game. On the other side of the
court, Duquesne has struggled facing a conference foe that enters off
a double-digit loss posting a 23-36 ATS mark including 5-22 ATS in
that role priced as an underdog of +3.5 or more.
Xavier is a perfect 4-0 SU versus teams from the Atlantic 10 West
Division. That record will remain spotless after this game is over.
