Guys, The UC game was a killer, we all know that! I hate to lose, but I especiallly hate to lose the BIG games, which we all do. I love making making money, and sometimes even more, I love bringing winners to the forum! There are so many great guys here, and I get just as much satisfaction in winning and helping others win............and I think you guys know that. I know Shorty is the same way, we like to help others out and when we don't it KILLS us. I'm sorry the game didn't win, BUT lets take a look at it:
Biggest reason they didn't cover: UC shot 40% from the field!
How may teams that you know can shoot 40% and still have a 21 point lead with 7 minutes to go.........NOT TOO MANY!
Second reason: Foul shooting: This really cost UC down the stretch. They were 12-25 from the line (60%) That's not going to get it done.
They came out and played just how I thought they would. They had one of their best defensive efforts and held X to 31% from the field! From a handicapping standpoint, I felt I hit this one right on, it just didn't work out. Thorton played only 15 min with 3 points and a rebound...........Everything was there, up 20 cruising...........just made some VERY bad desicisons at the end and Huggins was livid. This whole thing about fix.........come on guys! You don't bust your ass at the defensive end only to come down and miss FT's.........that's crazy! Hell, just play a little lax on the defensive side and give up a bucket or two to get the late cover.....UC didn't do that.....they missed FT's and didn't take care of the ball at the their end......that simple. I know games are fixed to some degree, but not this one. If you watched Huggins, he ripped everyone ass that threw an ally-opp(and missed) and I even saw him say on a breakaway reverse lay-up..........."can you believe that motherfucker!" Next dead ball, his ass was on the bench.
All, I can say............WE'LL GET THE NEXT ONE!
