You guys are right . What's the sense of re hashing the fixing issue over and over ? Either we're on the right side or we're not and that's that. Bottom line ... we don't like what we see .... we don't gamble. Our choice.

It's just frustrating to see basketball players miss free throws especially when they've been practicing them all their lives.
There's absolutely no reason why every basketball player - college and pro - can not make 75 -80 % at the free throw line.

Free throws are like a 3-4 foot uphill putt in golf with no wind and no left to right and right to left breaks .... 19 out of 20 get sunk.

I don't think it's been naive. There's no way to prove a fix unless someone admits to it. As a gambler, you have to assume that each game is on the up-and-up when you handicap or else you may as well stop gambling.

In my baseball league, i've seen pitchers fuck up on purpose or guys strike out on purpose because they were pissed at the manager of team for one reason or another. No money on the line there. I'm sure it happens, but there's not much we can do about it.

          Doc

Hey Pal - Had a 1 night stand with grandma last night - kept her up all night and gave her my best moves. She was insatiable ... a veritable sexual dynamo. Then this morning she tells me she has a thing for older men. Imagine that? Jeez it took me 2 hours just to get her damn stockings off . I was patient . I GAVE !!!!

Now I feel used and cheap.

Time to move on I suppose.

I'll give this chick her chance ... at least for a while, anyway. It's kind of a rebound thing, you know ? I don't think this one will ever make me forget Granny though. I'm sad and heart broken but with time I'll heal.

          Wish me luck, Doc

PS Can you email me a script for Viagra ?

              LMAO

That sure would save me lots of money and runnin around. Not to mention the sleepless nights .

Took out the Band of Gypsys CD yesterday.

I was at that concert - it happened One New Year's Eve at the Fillmore in NYC . " Who Knows " still blows my mind . Used to go to The Fillmore every week ... unreal concerts and dirt cheap too. Those were the days !

Take care BB and Best of Luck in games this weekend.

Re: Fixes-I simply don't bet Lakers games or totals except on very rare occasions for the reasons I stated.
I believe the BC point shaving scandal a few years back and a few others are just the tip of the iceberg with college sports.
There are bigtime bookies on campus on many college campuses, and gambling is big business;to think everything is on the up and up in these games all the time is just naive.
Just think back to when most of you were of college age (I am referring to people at least 30);the thought of easy money was real nice back then, and I am sure that there are a number of players today who would oblige to try to make a game come out a certain way (if you get my drift) if the price is right.

Do I think some games might involve point shaving? Yes!

BUT everytime there's a tough loss people are screaming fix.

How true ! - it's a form of venting for a frustrating loss. Beats the hell out of throwing a TV off the deck. But you guys are right - it gets tiring after a while.
