I normally run and hide when games like this come up. But I can’t resist going against pathetic Long Beach State in the role of a favorite. The 49ers are 3-18 SU and average 60 points a game. They are 1-10 in conference play and should have lost their one victory when they hit a shot with 7 seconds to go to beat Idaho 53-52 after Idaho was called for traveling after a defensive rebound. UC-Riverside is 4-4 SU in their last eight games and stand 5-0 against Long Beach the last three years. This team came within two points of winning at Idaho and I found it interesting that Pacific is only a 4-point favorite at Idaho tonight. Long Beach has one SU victory since Christmas and it was by a single point. This may be the worst lined team in the country. I’m on the visitor plus any points I can get. Take UC-Riverside +2 1/2
