Today's Pick: NEW JERSEY NETS

LA Lakers vs. New Jersey
7:35 EST
Here’s a classic game of two teams going in opposite directions. The long term effect of life without Kobe Bryant is starting to wear on the Lakers at both ends of the floor. Recently it’s been defensive allowing 320 points in their last three games to San Antonio, Houston, and Atlanta. It took a while for Jason Kidd to adjust to Vince Carter and then the loss of Richard Jefferson. But the transition has now been complete and the Nets are 6-1 SU and ATS since January 26th. The Lakers are yielding 101.5 on the road compared to the Nets at 89.2 at home. That’s better than a 12-point disparity and yet we are looking at a line of only -5. Note the Nets won outright in LA on January 28th as a 3 ½-point underdog despite playing their 4th consecutive road tilt. That road trip seemed to mesh things together for this team. They’ve responded with back-to-back double-digit home wins over Philly and Detroit and this is the swing game of a five-game home stand. The Lakers are 1-4 on the highway since January 4th and this is their 3rd consecutive contest since Sunday on foreign hardwoods. The Nets are 10-3 ATS at home off a home win over a division rival the last three years. I’ll lay it tonight with New Jersey as traveling is never easy for a team without their superstar. Take the Nets -5
Rip,
I will not be around after 5:30 tonight, but I have been doing a tally and I include all games, weather they are comps or GOY, but do mark it accordingly. Reason why, it seems that some services ut good plays in as comps so they look good then get you to pay, and that is when they suck. So far tonight, Duke is big 6-0 over NC
