Patriots a Dynasty??

When i woke up and looked at the paper...There is says PATRIOTS A DYNASTY! When i logged on to aol, first thing that came up...PATRIOTS A DYNASTY. Reality check, Yes, you won 3 Superbowls in 4 years, but winning by a fieldgoal everytime makes you a Dynasty?? They were nothing compared to the Dallas cowboys who averaged to win by 17pts or more demolishing the other team. Now thats a dynasty. Give me your thoughts..........

Troy Aikman said he thought the Patriots run is more impressive than the Cowboy teams he played on because it's far harder to keep a team together now than it was in the 90s.

Who cares how much they win by, is this the BCS? I don't think it would matter if the Yankees swept a World Series and won each game by 1 run would it? The facts are facts and they are 32-2 SU in their last 34 and the Cowboys NEVER were able to say that. The 2nd team to win 3 in 4 years and they need to defend themselves more with questions like this???? Absurd IMO and people need to wake up to the fact that they have stars everywhere, they just don't try or need to single themselves out like other ego maniacs therefore their not attractive to the public. People must love the "Big Mouth" players like Freddie Mitchell because it's fun to listen to but where was he Sunday Night. I'll take this defense over that Dallas defense any day and on offense i think Brady and Aikman are very similiar in that they didn't lose the game and they both did what they needed to. At RB i don't think it's a big difference from Emmitt to Dillon. Put Dillon in N.E. since day one and watch his career. At WR Irving was Great and Flashy but N.E. has quiet leaders there who take turns catching the ball (Branch,Patten,Brown,Givens) and Dallas NEVER went 4 deep at WR.

The scary thing is that it was all down without Pro Bowler Ty Law and a WR playing in the secondary. Guess what, their young and 99% of them are signed. It could be a few more years watching this team together. I'm sorry if i sound irritated but give me a fucken break. What else do they have to do?? If they won all 3 by 10 points would they then be a Dynasty? UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!

I know that the Pats are a DYNASTY!!! There are only you me and a few others on here who know the truth. Everyone else continues to come up with excuses and says that NE isnt as good as they are. Just wait 4 or 5 years and when everyone looks back they will then realize just how dominating the PATS really were. In the mean time we'll just continue to bet on them and cash the tickets.$$$$$

The Pats are dynasty. The show up to play every game. There well coached. The team does not know how to lose. Who cares that they won each SB by 3. The only thing that matters is that they won. It hurts asying all this being an eagles fan but you have to give the Pats the respect they deserve.

Wayne I agree with you. The Pats are one of if not the best team to ever step onto the Football Field. Congrats Wayne and all New England Fans. You Guys are taking all the sport Championships

P.S. - Was it just me or at the end of the game the beagles looked like shit and wasted the clock themselves. No Wait that was the Pats fucking them up. Come on Guys. This run they have had is unbelieveable and if you can't handle it when then you better wait until next year and hope they lose then.

Bry, do people honestly know how hard it is to do what they have done in this, the "Salary Cap" era??? Ask all the teams who have their money on one side of the ball or the other, and ask them how 1 bad draft pick can cost them for years. I'm amazed how this team still needs to be defended in ANY way. Ask Bill Cowher how hard it is losing FA's every year or Peyton Manning with no money for Defense, or S.F., ask them if it's easier winning with a Salary Cap then it was w/out.

I dont think people realize it. I didnt til they won it all last year. Just look what the salary cap has done to teams like SF 49ers, Raiders,Cowboys,Redskins I could go on and on. Its so difficult to win 1 SB let alone 3 in 4 years.

Who did they dominate?? Look, the word Dynasty is a strong word.. I probably even should have not used the dallas cowboys as an example . The Boston Celtics, La Lakers, Yankees etc are considered Dynasty's. The definition of Dynasty is " A powerful group or family who maintains there position for a considerable amount of time. We are not talking 2-3 years, we are talking many many years.. When the celtics won all those championships, did the other team actually have a shot?? NO WAY.... Listin, i give the Patriots credit. Hands down, they won the superbowl. They are a good team. Wayne, your my man.. I'm not trying to get under your skin or anything.. Its just my opinion i guess

Doc, the problem with your statement is this......................... A Dynasty in those sports were longer streaks but they are done in sports with much different schedules and lengths of seasons. UCLA in College hoops, The Yankees, The Celtics, all great but the best ever in NFL was Dallas with a 3 in 4 years streak. N.E. matched their "Dynasty" and for the NFL It IS a dynasty because it is the BEST in History for that particular Sport. You can't compare sports when looking at Dynasty's, you need to compare teams in that sport and see who had the best ever runs.

They dominate the scoreboard and the standings with wins & losses (32-2) last 34 and they dominate time with the "Lombardi" Trophy. That's all that matters!
