Since February 15th, both Denver and Atlanta have made stops in Chicago to face the Bulls. The Nuggets began a three-game road trip in the Win! dy City and lost by 19 scoring 69 points. For Atlanta it was game #6 on a grueling seven-game road trip last week and it resulted in a 110-88 victory at the expense of the Bulls. Denver is in the midst of a horrendous 12-game losing streak and the Nuggets are 3-26 SU on the road. Atlanta has won 12 consecutive home meetings with Denver and won by 16 in Colorado back in November. “The Animal” can’t resist going against the Nuggets on the road as a single-digit underdog. This is one of the poorest basketball teams ever assembled in NBA history. Denver cracked the 90-point plateau on Sunday night for the first time in seven games (five of them at home). We thought it was interesting that on three occasions in the recently completed road trip, Atlanta either won outright or covered following a double-digit defeat. The Hawks come off a massacre in Milwaukee on Sunday. Catch this. Atlanta is 27-13 ATS at home the last three years following a defeat of 10 points or more.! The Hawks are also 14-5 ATS the last three years at home after allowing 110 or more points in their previous game. Atlanta has won 4/5 at home recently and are 16-12 at Philips Arena this year (recently beat Sacramento). The Nuggets come off an 0-4 home stand and knowing they have been OUTSCORED BY 112 POINTS in their last six road games. That’s an average defeat of 18.6 a game.
