Capper:Brian Gabrielle
Sport:Arena Football
Game:Dallas Desperados @ New York Dragons on Feb 6 2005 1:00PM
Prediction:Dallas Desperados
Reason:In week 1 we watched oddsmakers struggle to quantify 16 teams who had yet to snap a ball. Over-valuing home teams led to road teams taking an 8-5 ATS ledger for the week, with 3 of the 4 road dogs handling the action. In week 2 they will adjust, in fact, they will over-adjust to accommodate knee-jerk betting and team reputations, making week 2 AFL all about value. We get that here with a typically under-rated Arena road team visiting a team who`s yet to take a snap. Considering Dallas won last week, you can attribute no more than a -1 1/2 point advantage to New York, delivering the value. Make the final, New York 54, Dallas 53. Take Dallas

Northcoast Comp. Line-LLWM-I will capitalize the pick at the end of this post;Phil is currently blabbing about his Superbowl System Play and about some dumb contest.
Anyways, here is the pick after a very surprising short tape today.
The comp from the "Friends" of Mike Lee is on ORLANDO.

DR. BOB
***Princeton 62 DARTMOUTH 44
Dartmouth is just 14-39 ATS at home the last 9 seasons and they aren’t likely to cover the number tonight against a Princeton squad that qualifies in a very strong 56-14 ATS big road favorite situation that is 22-2 ATS more recently (3-1 this seasons – all 4-Stars). That angle actually is a subset of a more general 114-37-5 ATS situation that has won for me every season since I discovered it 5 years ago. Princeton coach Joe Scott has an outstanding 61-35-3 ATS record in his career (at Air Force prior to this season) and his teams are especially profitable on the road (33-13-1 ATS, 21-6-1 ATS in conference road games – 2-1 as a favorite). My ratings favor Princeton by 10 ½ points if leading scorer Judson Wallace plays (he’s listed as questionable) and by 9 ½ points if he doesn’t play. Backup senior center Mike Stephens scored 23 points in 25 minutes in the Tigers’ 58-43 win over Yale last Saturday after Wallace was hurt – so Princeton may not be worse if Wallace doesn’t play. I’ll lay up to 11 points with Princeton in a Best Bet while making the Tigers a 3-Star at –10 points or less.
Downgrade Princeton to a 2-Star Best Bet if they are favored by more than 10 points.
Pass on Princeton if they become a favorite of more than 11 points.
