how to bet?

simple question for all of the veterans. new to this addiction of sports and the forum. i wish i can be more involved, still havnt posted anything yet. too scared or maybe just embarrassed. anyways ive been betting for about 5 years now as far as how much won or lost, no records, but fairly consistant as far as wagers.
ive noticed most if not all of you RATE your plays. im sure this question has come up from the noobs such as myself, but is this the way to go? or still stay consistent with all of the plays at a certain amount?

Post all your plays the same unless you like something more. I post what I play! Give it a try, you might have critics but who cares. Enjoy the forum and post picks, that's what it's here for. Good luck and welcome!!

I dont typically post units on my plays. I play them all the same. Generally $110 to win $100 on each game. I dont vary unless I find a play I feel real strong about. At that point I'll wager 2 units on a game. 5 units is pretty rare for me, and 10 unit is my max bet. Regardless how confident I feel about a game. I've played 6 10 unit games in the last 365 days, going 5-1 ATS and still pissed off about the 1 I lost. Many cappers such as EZ,RJ,homer and others post units. I honestly dont know if they wager according to the star rating they select or the rating stands for how confident they feel about a specific game. You can do whatever you feel comfortable with. Dont know if this helped you any. GL with your plays and dont be afraid to post. I lurked for about 9 months before I joined and started posting. Joining this forum was a great idea and a great experience for me so far. Many here have helped me out greatly.

I don't post units either...I bet them all for $200 each, no matter how much I might like one over the other I still bet them for the same amount.....Because the one I bet more on is the one that's gonna go down...lol
I also never bet parleys, teasers and anything else for that matter....everything is bet flat....makes for a boring gambling experience, but it works for me...

btw...don't feel funny about posting your picks if you like something.!!!! Nobody is forcing anybody to play anybodies picks...it's their choice.

Simple Rule

2 - 6 Straight Bet = Goal is to win 2 bets and then start a new session !!!

You can hit @ 40% and win money - GURANTEED

I am 21-20 going into last night and I am up @ $4800. I will continue but all must read and it is very simple !!!

2-6 Straight Bet System

Here is one session:
a - single bet = $300
2a - two times single bet = $600
4a - four times single bet = $1200
6a - six times single bet = $1800
8a - eight times single bet = $2400
12a - twelve times single bet = $3600

Above is the system = a, 2a and etc. Over the last 12 days playing those dollar amounts above my record is 21-20 and up @ $4800 "that is laying those amounts and not to win those amounts i.e. not $330 to win $300 but $300 to win $278" you win more juice this way.

Again the RULE is to win 2 bets and start the session over. You don't have to start single bet out at $300, you have to set your bankroll at what you can lose. Bankroll is at $1000 then you will have single bet a = $25 and you could lose 2 to 3 sessions.

This system has been used since back in the 50's and if you are a yearly bettor with MLB, NBA, NFL and all College Ball, it will work and save you alot of money.

Again, I have gone 21-20 the last 12 days and up @ $4800 !!!

I hope that this will help and enlight a few of the bettors out there. This system works and the only bad thing about it is that your man or sportsbook may cut you off !!!

how does the progression go?
say i win the first bet for 300.
ok the next game how much do i play?
do i play another 300 or do i play 600 on my 2nd bet?
and so on.

I have posted my system a few times, please let me know if any one has tryied it, and results.
the first bet is for 25 (lets start with this small number) I place on any team just before the other two or three other plays.
Make sure that you know the end result be for you place the other bets.
If the first bet loses, then you place the second bet at 25* 2.1 = 52.5 or 53
if this one wins, then the next bet is back to 25. If it loses, then it goes to 53*2.1= 111. I stop after three loses.
every day I see how much I have in bank roll, and start the bets with 10% of the bank roll.
it has worked very well this past year.
has been much better with the help of great people on this site.

Your goal is to win 2 "TWO" bets....if you win the 1st of $300 and lose the next of $600 and win the 3rd of $1200...your goal is accomplished and you start another session
Session #2 starts with 1st bet of $300 and you lose....2nd bet of $600 and you win....3rd bet of $1200 and you lose....4th bet of $1800 and you win....you have went 2-2 and won $723, whereas if you bet $300 on every game and go 2-2 you lose $44....Pretty Cool !!!!!

I'm going to look into it. Good question that gaylehr had though, what if you like a few games that start around similar times? There is an "IF win" or "IF action" option for some sportsbooks but what would you do in that situation?

Also, when you say 2-6 straight bets, what if you lose more than 6, do you keep doubling your wager untill you get the 2nd win?

How long have you used this system and does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I've used this system playing blackjack and roulette, and it works as long as you stay around .500 and you have a big enough bank roll. I'm gonna try it in bball. Fast Eddie, do you only make one play a night?

I was doing some math and looked at it like if I win the first for 100 lost the 2nd for 220 then the 3rd for 440 then the 4th for 660 then win the 800 im still down. is that part of the system? in which that you won't neccessarily always be + within the system
