10* Michigan State (+1) vs Illinois---->not really thrilled betting against the team that beat wake , cincy, and gonzaga and arkansas all by double digits but i think the confusion of this undefated season thing is setting in and much like bill self said the other night "i think it was good for us to lose", i am not sure it is the end of the world for illinois if they lose......i am not one of these people who think teams want to lose when they are undefeated, but illinois has played 3 road games this year in the big 10, at purdue where they were down at half, at wisconsin where they trailed throughout the night and at northwestern which they won easily......michigan state comes in with 3 losses; all at tough venues or in tough spots (at duke, at wisconsin and basically at GW when they were playing lights out) and i cannot believe izzo is going to lose this one....i do think illinois is the best team, i do think this will be their only loss, i do think they will win the big 10, but i cannot see illinoise going undefeated and i am not sure how they lose a reg. season game if they dont lose this one....

also like Wichita state (+1.5) at creighton--->i am hesitant here only because i am not positive that wichita state is as good as their record of 16-2 BUT their 2 losses have been in games where they did not seem to be paying attention home manhatten and at indiana state), much like they weren't in the first half last time out against ill state.......until they lose a game where they should be focused (like here), i have to stay with them......creighton is average

Michigan State will be the toughest competition because until they lose, every game is gonna be the toughest!!
not easy to win on the road in Big Ten, but the guard play should be too much for MSU!!
plus i think Davis will have trouble with the height of the Illinois big men

sorry, it must have just slipped my great handicapping ability that mich state is 0-14 in their last 14 against ranked teams.....

nights like this are embarassing........and as i have said at times this year, picks like this are worthy of some people taking shots at me......

if it makes anyone feel better that played this game which was over after the first tv timeout, i lost my ass on it too....and then lost a nice bit on wichita state.....

one of the million things i hate about services and like about our cappers here is that we play our own games, so i apologize for this and saw some good cappers on illinois, hopefully you went with them

Shorty-You are a very fine capper, but I really believe what I said in my posts to waynechung about NEVER going against a team in a pickem situation, where the team is undefeated or on a winning streak;there is no logic or way you can justify making a bet especially a big one on a team in this situation.I
I learned the hard way over the many years that I have gambled on sports that you either go with the undefeated team or the one on a winning streak or you pass. jmho
ps Again I reiterate you are a great capper and usually I play your big plays but just coudln't do it tonight(I didn't play the other side either to tell you the truth).

I had Illinois.....They could have melted down like the following I had in WICH ST......WICH ST DOMINATED Creighton going into half time....a 10 minute meltdown period mid way 2nd half did em in. STILL ALMOST CAME BACK TO WIN IT!
