Reason:
The Sonics shocked the Spurs back in early November (3rd game for both teams) beating the Spurs in Seattle 113-94. Even more IMPRESSIVELY a month later in SA, the Sonics beat the Spurs again, 102-96. Not only are the wins impressive but the fact that the Sonics were able to TWICE
top 100 points, is remarkable. SA is the league's best defensive team and other than Seattle, just two other teams this year (in 46 games!)
have been able to reach triple-digits vs the Spurs! However, the Sonics have cooled a little since a 22-6 start, going just 8-6 SU and ATS in January. The Spurs have caught the Suns at 36-10 and are now tied with
them for the league's best mark! This game is a GREAT challenge for SA, as the team opens a seven-game road trip here. However, that may be good news for SA fans, as over the last two seasons, the team has gone 14-2 in its extended February road trips! Few teams have risen to challenges any better than the Spurs recently and they do so again in
this one! 21* Spurs.
