  • Seeking interviews w/gambling "traders"

Hi. My name is Mike Brunker and I am a reporter with MSNBC.com (http://www.msnbc.msn.com). I am working on a story tied to the upcoming Super Bowl looking at how serious online bettors are approaching their craft now that they have an array of choices -- betting sports, playing poker, engage in P2P wagering, spread betting, casino gaming -- to choose from. I'd like to arrange phone interviews with a couple serious players who bet on different games and I'm hoping to find at least one former day trader who has transfered market analysis techniques to this new frontier. I will guarantee the anonymity of anyone willing to talk to me, if that's a concern. If you can help me out, please e-mail me at [email protected] and I'll message you back to see if we can find a convenient time to talk. Thanks in advance for whatever help you can render.

You should talk to Frank, he'd make a great interview with his extensive numbers knowledge, among other things.

                to mike

JUST AN OPONION-the truly great gamblers dont want to be interviewed or be on t.v.-they slip into a casino unknown-they scout the poker tables for the action table where 3 or 4 rich tourists are piling chips on the table-they have great people skills-they engage in the conversation-its a lively friendly game-everyone is having a good time-the pro slowly pulls down every chip at the table-when he becomes too wellknown in one place he moves on too another town///the same with the serious sports bettor-he doesnt want everybody betting his plays-just ask the guys here at bettorchat-there is nothing like the kiss of death when all of the sport services agree on one side-for example syracuse tonite-all of the touts had them they went down in flames-the truly great gamblers go about their craft without much fanfare-the exception too this would be the world poker tour-the average joe doesnt realize that groups of players play in teams then split the money up after the final table-some of the top tourney officials have admitted this goes on but theres nothing they can do about it=for example 2 of us are at the final table -im the better player and have more chips-you get in a pot with me-bet a lot of your chips then fold before the final card-your chips wind up in my stack and theres no way the casino can prove we did anything wromg-we chop the money up later in the motel room-my main point being the truly great ones are on there own-out there anonymous-winning on pure skill and savvy!!
