First of all...i do go to another forum, only when this one gets out of hand..."Controversy" but thats it.. I haven't been back there in months cause this board has been STRONG ever since a few bad apples have been removed. 2nd....thats why i will never post a GOY or any shit like that..I joke about it, but would never do it.. I bet it does happen in here here when people use others GOY's for there play...but if i ever did i would put the person name next to it so people know i got it from him and using that play..

it's not so much as saying someone is stealing someone's play, just more of i think 1 person says they like it, and then everyone else will say they do to....even if they weren't going to play it in the first place or maybe go the other way.

then Joe Schmoe comes on late in the day and sees that everyone and their mother is on 1 side and thinks it MUST be the right play.

i guess u might be talking about me because of yesterday i posted someone elses plays and you recieved an e-mail about it.I usually cap every one of my games i check other places and if i have alot of people on a different side than i already capped myself i dont post that pick on here. I think this is a great board and like i have said in earlier posts i just wanna get in with the in crowd.I do get pay picks from a guy named Matt that is also a member here but i do not play all of his picks i still cap myself and use him as a gauge to see if we are on the same side if we are i post it. I think the point of this forum is to try and help everyone win $$$$$$$$$ and i try my best to help all i can hope this does not break any of the rules or anything cause i love this board but if the winning keeps coming i dont think anyone should care. As long as we are making money thanks alot everyone and if i did anything wrong let me know thanks

I pick my own games and post what I like before reading anyone else's plays for the day... if I agree with the posters that I trust, then it is even better.... when we disagree, I figure one of us will be a winner!

i'm not talking about you at all. i guess you guys are missing my point.

Here's my point:

I wonder if ONLY 1 person comes out with a Play, and everyone else says OK, I like that play, I'll take it too. Whether they post it or not, they might still be taking it.

I'm wondering if people get misled, like on the other forums I saw today. On 1 forum EVERYONE there liked Wisconsin......then on another forum EVERYONE liked Illinois.
And if you look at the most viewed cappers on each of them then you'll see that they each picked that side.

I was just wondering if you guys thought that happened around here a lot??

I don't visit any other sports forums. I do know at this site on most nights their's a diverse opinions on games. Every so often the overwhelming majority of cappers are on the same side. More often than not those picks usually lose.

Regarding the GOY type of plays. Most members here frown on those titles. Thankfully, they are used very sparingly. When they are used they truly are GOY. You won't have some of the respected members here posting GOY every week.

I for one wish I was accused of "Bird dogging" some of the good cappers you named. That would mean I was winning, but that certainly is not the case.
I know what you are referring to, and I agree that this site has the most antagonistic group of personalities on it. I would also say that it does happen here, but not to the extent of those creampuff sites.
You gotta have some thick skin around here.

Yea, frank and rwall,

that's what I love about this forum......everyone chooses their own plays, even if it goes against all the "great" ones on here. i'm glad everyone says who they like and why....not just EZ or Wayne picking a game and the whole forum saying they like it too, like those other sites.

I very rarely play any of the selections from any of the cappers at this site. I have great respect for so many of them. However, I've found that you can't cherry pick. You can't play RJ today, then Spaarkie tomorrow, then another capper the next day. Be consistant! Follow the same capper through the good times and the bad.

Like many members when I first came here I was seeking the services. I quickly learned the cappers at this site were much better. However, I was still losing money. Why? I was cherry picking fellow members top picks. With all due respect to most members I've noticed in many cases their 1* were as good as their 5* selections.

Now I do my own capping. Once all my bets are made I'll come see who's on what. Yesterday, morning I played Detroit +3 as my top play. Later, it seemed almost all members were also on Detroit. That's too often is a recipe for a loss. Luckily, I got the PUSH.

I highly advise all newbies to forget the 'pro' scamdicapper. If your going to follow any capper follow the cappers from this site.

It sad that advise will fall on deaf ears! Eventually the members that stick around learn that valuable lesson.

i can only speak for myself of course and can say confidently :
1)i have never been to another forum, nor do i know the names of any or care too:
2)my procedure before posting games is as follows::
-i go through the schedule the night before and guess the lines, if i am more than 4 points off, i examine the game more carefully...
-if it is a game where i see a team in a particularly good or bad spot, i examine it more carefully
-i go over my own set of power rating which are no more scientific than me ranking teams 1-whatever
-if all checks out, i post the game
-examine more carefullt means a careful check of injuries, going to cbssportsline or the euqivalent and seeing how the team has done lately and checking my own books to see the history of a series

in other words, i could care less who anyone picks, and what they pick.........and the fact the our best cappers are not picking the same IS WHY THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST SITE

otherwise , we are no different from those loser betting syndicatses
