Big Al McMordie's False Favorite Game of the Year

At 9 pm, our selection is on the Wisconsin Badgers over Illinois, as we will play on Bo Ryan's Badgers who have won 38 straight games at home in the Kohl Center. And Wisconsin is also the last Big 10 team to defeat Illinois, as they whipped Bruce Weber's squad 70-53 in last year's Big 10 Tournament. Wisky is 11-1 straight up and 10-2 ATS at home vs. Illinois, and the Badgers also fall into a 35-4 ATS system of mine that plays on certain home teams off back to back wins and ******, if they covered their most recent game by 10 or more points, and are matched up against a foe off back to back wins. Wisconsin defeated Michigan 72-61 in its last game (as a PK), and beat Michigan State 62-59 (as a 1-point fave) two games back. Even though Illinois is the #1-ranked team in the country, Wisconsin shouldn't be an underdog at home. And especially since Illinois has been outshot in 3 of its previous 4 games. Iowa shot 44% to Illinois' 32% last Thursday; Northwestern outshot Illinois 57 to 49%; and lowly Purdue outshot Illinois 46 to 45%. Illinois has still managed to win because they've won the turnover battle. But that's an area where Wisconsin also excels. The Badgers have only had more turnovers than their foe in 5 of 16 games this year -- and all 5 of those games were on the road. In its 38-game home win streak, Wisconsin has won by an AVERAGE of 20.4 points, and just 5 games of the 38 were decided by fewer than 10 points! Behind senior Mike Wilkinson (23 points per game and 10.7 rebounds over his last 3 games), and forward Alando Tucker, and in front of 17,000 rabid Badger fans, watch Wisky end Illinois' 19-game win streak.
