The Syracuse Orangemen, who happen to be the 7th ranked team in the nation and who have won 12 straight games should have no problem rolling over this weak Rutgers team. They are a perfect 6-0 in Big East play this season while their opponent has struggled mightily inside Conference Play. Rutgers has lost 5 out of their last 6 games and they are 1-4 against Big East Teams. They got bombed by Seton Hall on the road the other night and they could be in for the same result tonight. I say it time and time again when I go with Syracuse. They simply have the best player on the floor in Hakim Warrick. They also have a point guard who makes big shot after big shot. Syracuse has played four true road games thus far, and all four have resulted in wins. Rutgers is just 7-8 on the season and they are just 5-3 at the RAC. They truly have no home court advantage in this one. Syracuse holds a commanding 28-9 lead in the all-time series with Rutgers and they should easily add another win to the total tonight.
Syracuse is the pick as they are playing tremendous team basketball, as always. Their 2-3 match-up zone is again causing teams fits and Rutgers will have no answer for it tonight. Syracuse wins by 13 tonight because they have more experience, leadership and Rutgers does not have a player capable of stopping Warrick.
Let's move on to Oklahoma State. This team has been talked about as a national championship threat all season and in my mind they have not lived up to the hype. Yeah they are 14-2 but they lost those two games against the toughest teams on their schedule to date. However, I feel this is the night this team just comes out and puts a beating on their in State Rival. Oklahoma has played well this year and they have beaten some good teams at home but they won't get it done tonight. Okie State swept the season series last year and they have won 4 out of the last 5 meetings straight up while going 4-2 ATS in the last 6. I feel they will get it done tonight outright by 5 points. Take the Cowboys in this one.
