General thought is that Atl is a one man team. Thinking Philly's Westbrook is the be-all end-all for that team. McNabb has been asked before to carry this team and wasn't given enough tools to do so. Without TO, these receivers are mediocre at best. Atl can focus on Westbrook and stop McNabb with a strong rush, I think they can win here. Eagles defense way over rated. The bad weather here affects what I think is a Philly finesse offense more than Atl. I don't like Mora as a coach or the FG kicker they have for this outdoor game, but Reid isn't very affective IMO and the Eagles have a tendency to F'up enough to leave their opponents in the game. Atl will be bringing it and Vic will have one or two massive plays that could carry them in this one. I saw a lame and disinterested Minny team have quite a bit of success against this Philly D. Especially running the ball, which they couldn't use enough by being down thoughout the game. I think a much better ATl defense and a Philly defense that will give a few crucial opportunities to their opponents will be enough for an ATL team with no expectations to win here.

Liking NE in game two
It's not like the weather is going to bother this team. I think Bill will throw some major stress Bens way and it may be too much for the kid that f'd up in his 1st big game a week ago. He's now up against a better coach, the elements, and a better team that what the Jets threw at him. I like the kicker and the professionalism the whole NE team will bring to this road game. They aren't ready to lay down their crown yet. They are Super Bowl tested and know the ride is much easier to #1 if they can pull this one out. Pitt has too many questions going into this one. Regardless of the 1st meeting, NE is going to adjust to their weaknesses and use their strengths to win. Pitt strengths are known commodities, and their weaknesses need more than just one week to overcome going into this game. People all ready to think the public is on the wrong side here as in the Indy game. Vegas set this opening line up and it has actually only moved a bit. I think that is the wrong train of thought to wager on this game with.
Forget the public
Forget the 1st game
Forget the 16-1 (mostly reg season) record
Forget the elements favoring the home team
Don't forget Bettis likes to lay the ball down
Ben still has the bad finger and the bad game a week ago
The Chin is brutal in these games
Pitt can win every game next year, they are a bit earlyLast edited by HUNGlikeabear; 01-23-2005, 02:32 PM.Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.
