golf, come on man ... Don't be so touchy huh .. I did not mean to upset anyone here ... but if your request is asked already why ask for it again?? it causes duplicate posts also cause I am not going to look back 25 posts to see if the play I have has been posted already .. does this make sense??? I am here everyday for people like you .. i have the plays already but i want to share them with everyone ... just make it easy on us to get the plays to you ... good luck my friend
Game:Arkansas Little Rock @ Denver on Jan 22 2005 9:00PM
Prediction:Denver
Reason:
3* DENVER over ARKANSAS LITTLE-ROCK
A good chance to put some handicapping principles into play that you can look for over the course of the season - How not to beat a Good Defense, and How to close out a game at home.
Denver's Pioneers have opened Sun Belt Conference play on a 4-0 run and it is absolutely legitimate. The defense has allowed only 36% shooting in that span, with Yemi Nicholson (seven blocked shots vs. Arkansas State earlier this week) becoming a major presence around the basket. That defense gives them leads to work with, and veteran point guard Rodney Billups takes care of the rest. He has done an excellent job of keeping the team in its offensive flow, with 38 assists already in league play, and he is almost impossible to press from behind to make up a deficit.
So what chance do the Trojans have tonight, especially with Denver playing with a revenge motive from a 15-point road loss LY? Very little. They are exactly the wrong kind of team to attack a good defense on the road. Unlike the Pioneers, they do not have good floor leadership on offense, and as a team they only average two more assists per game in conference play than Billups does individually. In their only two league road games that had an awful total of just 17 assists at North Texas and Middle Tennessee State, while turning the ball over 33 times, and their reliance on individual one-on-one manuvers to try to score gets them in a lot of trouble here. Two road games in three nights only makes it worse, especially with the mile high altitude taking a toll on the likes of Brandon Freeman, who had to play the entire 40 minutes in Thursday's a win at North Texas.
Freeman was on the court the entire time because that game was much closer than the 71-64 final score would indicate - it was 65-64 with a minute left until a 6-0 cloeout at the free throw line. That misleading margin helps to keep the value just where we want it for this one.
